Description of Work: My husband I contacted Mark Baker to consult with us about remodeling our home. He spent a lot of time with us at our house discussing ideas, goals, budget, lifestyle and family aspects of our home and what we would want out of a remodel. This, despite the fact that his portfolio of work includes very high-end residential projects and innovative, award-winning commercial projects: all of which are much larger scale, more expensive projects than we were contemplating. Mark was not only open to helping us work within a smallish budget, he happily revised his proposal to allow for a multi-phase remodel (a more financially feasible option for us). Before we had time to follow through with our remodel, my husband had an immediate need to expand his commercial warehouse and office space. Mark took on that job, designing the plans and working with my husband to stay within a specific budget. Mark has taken care of all the truly awful, time-consuming and stressful town planning and zoning requirements. My husband has found Mark to be friendly, responsive and thoroughly professional to work with. Our residential plans are still on hold, but when and if we are ready to either remodel or build, Baker Architecture and Design will be at the top of our list.
