They are great. They are a little pricey. They always give them treats, very affectionate try to put them at ease. The technician goes with them and they try to distract the dogs.

They have good patient interaction. They call and check on the pet the next day or after treatment.

All of their vets are good and we have gone there for years. We have 4 pets and we take them there. Aztec is expensive but we pay for it. They have everything from food to a lab. They will recommend extra service and they will give you the price so you can decide. The average person might find them expensive.

If anybody needs a place where they love your animal, this is the place. Every single one of them is an animal lover. They're just awesome.

It was a quick, efficient, yet informative appointment. She had various parasitic issues at the time of adoption, unknown to Animal Welfare, but promptly pickup up on by the provider. I've been going there for awhile and they have taken care of several of my cats in the past. The vet took time to answer my questions and let me know of things to keep an eye out for an be concerned about. They are not cheap, but everyone from the receptionists to the techs are extremely nice and helpful.

I like the fact that everything is very professional of course but also they have several doctors in the clinic. So if you cannot the veterinarian specialist that you usually see, somebody else kind of pop in and see you pet if it need be. Price wise this is the first pet I ever had and it is difficult to compare prices.

They are very good at what they do. I have taken several dogs and cats to them. I think their price is in the ballpark of other vets.

Very good - the doctor was very attentive to both us and our dog and the tech worked extra hard to make our shy dog feel comfortable. The doctor noticed that our dog has a chipped tooth and they provided an explanation of what needed to be done to repair the tooth and a full price analysis. They are a little more expensive than some other places but it seems like they are knowledgeable and are responsive to their clients.

The staff was very thorough and professional and gave me detailed feedback about the condition of my cat. However, I think they are more expensive than other veterinarians.

There have been many visits over the years. The most recent was to give my newest kitten a deworming medicine. It went very well, as always, without a hitch.

The follow up visit didn't cost anything. It was rolled into the cost of the dental care, which was approximately $800. My overall experience was very good. I have gone to them three times. They were recommended to me. Their price is probably pretty standard. It wasn't cheap but vets aren't cheap.

I moved to Albuquerque in October of 2010 and within days my neighbor had a family emergency (back east). As a result I starting caring for his ten week old Corgi puppy when he left. The pup eventually needed some shots and Aztec Animal Clinic was recommended. Never owning a dog before (as a kid my parents did and quot;all the workand quot;) I had a lot of questions. Every question was answered by the vet and most importantly, because the dog was a puppy the vet told me what to be looking for in the next 24-48 hours in case the puppy had any type of bad reaction to the shots. He also included a list of emergency vet hospitals in case I had to get the pup treatment right away.
Sure as heck, the poor little pup was whimpering, vomiting and had diarrhea at 2:00 a.m.the next morning. I immediately called one of the emergency vets on the list given to me, explained the situation and got the little guy into the hospital. The emergency vet was able to stabilize the pup and after a long night, I finally got the pooch home (who was out of it because of a shot from the emergency vet) and climbed into bed around 7:30 in the morning.
At 8:00 a.m. the vet from Aztec called me to ask how the pup was doing. I was VERY IMPRESSED that I was immediately called and he asked if I WAS doing okay--remembering my fears of having to care for a puppy for the first time. He was concerned not only with the pup but with me. THAT IN ITSELF MADE ALL THE DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD!

I've been using them for many years. One thing is that they are close by and they are nice. They like my cat and seem like good vets.

We've used Aztec for over 5 years. Recommended them to dozens of people - all of whom complained they are very expensive - which they are, but they give Top Care. Used to like so much, got them plugged for free on the Morning Radio. One of our roommates moved out, and unknowingly left a balance on his dog's vet bill; and, his dog behind with us. We added him to our Pet Insurance, and thought nothing of it. When walking him one day - he was attacked by a much larger dog, and seriously injured (eye dislodged, puncture wounds, bleeding heavily). Ran him to Aztec, and found out about the $2,000 in unpaid bills on the account. They came up with an Estimate of $4,500 for the work to fix him up. Being their was a balance on the account, they wouldn't even touch him until we paid the back balance, plus the high-end of the Estimate in advance - $6,500....which we did not have. The Vet's response was: "Until you get the money, we're not going to touch him. Take him home then, and hope he's alright until you can pay what you owe us. We're not a charity, and don't 'trust you' to pay your bill..." - even though, the bill wasn't even ours! Fair enough, somewhat - business is business, but couldn't they at least give him something for the pain? Being at this point, it was after 5:00 PM, and there was no where else to take him; our vehicle and both of us were covered in blood, and it was clear he wouldn't make it through the night - we had to get him treated. The fact we had Pet Insurance that could Ensure Payment w/i 10 Days of being Invoiced for 90% of it made no matter to them, they wanted it all before they would even touch him. We ended up having to drain our accounts, and take out Pay Day Loans in order to come up with the $6,500...but we found it. We also had to eat nothing but Ramen for two weeks, take the bus every where to save gas, disable the thermostat to save energy, and then had to pay late fees on several bills - we managed to pay it. While getting the money together, both the Vet and the staff made sure to let us know how inconvenient and annoying it was that they closed at 5:30 and we couldn't get all the cash to them till 6:15 and they all wanted to go home. They treated him and did a top notch job - but, let us know since we added our two names to his account, that ALL our pets would not be allowed any time to pay and we'll always have to pre-pay. After the experience, we decided to move to another Vet, who would work with our Pet Insurance - being one of us is Disabled, and the other is a Public Sector Employee --- we do not have $6,500 just sitting around to pay when there is an accident without heavily affecting us. They decided to mail us a bill for the 'per page' cost of transferring our Vet Records to the new Vet. They are amazing Vets, the Staff is 'usually' very kind and professional, and you will get really great service. However, "expensive" is an understatement, and you might want to use someone else unless you have a large amount of money you can set down in an emergency situation without suffering greatly --- if you don't have it, be prepared for them to tell you to just take your pet home and hope for the best.

I have taken my cats to the Aztec Clinic for several years now. The staff there is very knowledgable and compassionate, and I highly recommend them. When possible I see Dr. Barbara McGuire, and she's great! When she is not available I see one of the other doctors there, and have had good experiences with them as well. The front desk staff people are always helpful and patient. Great place.
