My wife and I have been going to Artistic Creations since we moved to Albuquerque 7 years ago.  When our original stylist, Kris Blakney left the salon, we started going to Maria (Lampasi) Laws.  She has been providing precision cuts to us for almost 5 years. Her prices are reasonable and she uses good products.  I get compliments on my hair, and her cuts hold their shape until the next appointment. She is a sweet person, and we look forward to our appointments.

Kevin has been my hairdresser for approximately 30 yrs.
I have followed him all over Albuquerque, when he worked at other salons and now to his own salon.

Maria is caring, listens, and does high quality work. She began her session by speaking with me about how I take care of my hair, my preferences, and sitting me down and examining through my hair and bone structure. After looking at hairstyle photos, she gave her suggestions. After a great shampoo, she cut my hair, meticulously measuring and checking. Then she taught me how to blow dry and take care of my new do. All this in a spotlessly clean work area. My hair looks terrific every day, and is now a delight to take care of. Best yet, I get tons of compliments. Thanks, Maria!

I've only gone to this salon once, so I can only report from that experience. I went to Laurie Hall. She listened to what I wanted (unlike a majority of the hairdressers I've gone to!) and did a great job. The cut is growing in very nicely, which to me is the hallmark of a good cut. The clientele was a bit on the older side. I got a razor cut, but it wasn't an old lady cut. I've been in more cutting-edge salons, but I really don't care much about the decor as long as it's clean. The cut's what I'm looking for.

I got a hair cut here by Marcus. He was nice and courteous, but he didn't do a very good job (especially for $55+tip). He also answered his phone while he was cutting my hair, which I found very rude. The salon overall seemed like a nice place for older ladies to get their hair done. At the end, I really just wanted to leave but then I had to go find an ATM and come back because they didn't accept credit cards!
