Excellent! Thomas came to the house promptly, introduced himself, looked at the problem, replaced the brackets, tuned up the door operation, and reset the wobbly garage door opener motor within an hour. He was polite, engaged in some conversation, and told me what steps to follow to keep the opener functioning properly. I was completely satisfied.

This occurred on a Saturday. Thomas was out a little later than his estimated time as he was delayed at his previous job. He kept me appraised of his schedule. Our garage door is abnormally wide, so he needed to get a new spring from a supplier. He did a temporary repair until he was able to obtain the needed spring so we could continue to use our garage door. A return visit was scheduled. He was right on time. We had both springs and the rollers on the side of the garage door replaced. He lubricated the garage door opener. It works beautifully well. His prices were lower than I anticipated for all that he did. He educated me on garage door maintenance. I would not hesitate to call Thomas if I need garage door repair, replacement, or maintenance.

Perfect. I've used him many times. He honors warranties, performs work quickly and is always cheerful.

One of the tensioning springs on our garage door broke.  We called Apple Garage Doors during a holiday weekend, and Tom (the owner) called us back the same day.  We scheduled an appointment early the following week.  Tom showed up on time and completed the job quickly.  He talked us through what he was doing and helpfully answered our questions -- not just about the spring, but also about garage door maintenance, lubrication, and so on.  The price was very fair, and the work was excellent.  We've used Apple Garage Doors in the past and we will definitely use them again in the future!

I have used Apple Garage doors at our old house and Michael was awesome then (2009).
Called Michael as the first and only person I wanted to service our new house. Initial inspection done on Thursday the 24th for a broken beam and overall inspection. Michael identified the alternate beam support for the garage door and addressed he needed to get one at his supplier. We talked about the Door Spring, as our newer house was 14 years old and I have dealt with the Door Spring becoming an issue before. I addressed that I only had about 2 hours of time left and suggested that we do the entire thing on Monday then, so I could plan better.
Today the, 27th of Oct, Had the Alternate beam support put in and then had the Spring completely replaced as well. Total time was about 2 hours. This included having the rails re-greased, All rollers and hinges were checked and serviced (no replacement of any needed) and all door sensors were checked (This was the source of the broken beam to begin with)
The end result was that not only does the door travel smoother (there was a loping effect before) but the sound of the entire door when it moves up and down is so much quieter. As I said; I have dealt with this issue before on 2 other houses. We wanted this to be smooth and painless without any surprises and that is what we got.
I would EXTREMELY, not just highly, recommend Apple garage doors to anyone and everyone in my band of neighbors and beyond. He is not only a great contractor but just an all around great person to talk to you don't feel like your gonna get blind sided with some extra goofy charge.

I had Tom put in a new motor and garage door in for me in 1996 and I was so pleased with his work that I asked him to return 18 years later when the garage door guide wires snapped. He showed up the same day I called and fixed not only the wires but the broken springs as well. He only charged me $110. His work obviously stands the test of time. Hopefully I won't need work again for another 18 years, but if I do, I know who to call.

We had been observing some flaky garage door behavior, so we called Apple Garage Doors to check out the problem. Tom was able to come out the same day we called. He arrived on time, and was extremely knowledgeable and personable. He quickly diagnosed the problem, and described what he would need to do to fix it. The fix involved replacing the garage door motor. Since it was Friday afternoon, Tom said he wouldn't be able to get a new motor from his supplier before Monday, but he discussed our various options for replacement, including different models and accessories. He quoted us prices for our various options. He left literature and told us that we could call over the weekend to let him know what we had decided, and to schedule our replacement appointment. Tom did not charge us for his visit on Friday.
We made our choice and called Tom back with our information. He was able to schedule our next visit for our earliest convenience, Monday afternoon. He showed up on time on Monday, got right to work, and had replaced the garage door motor in just over an hour. He verified proper operation and showed us the features of the new motor and opener. He cleaned up, including loading up his truck with our old faulty garage door motor. His total bill for the garage door motor and labor was less than we expected; we paid by check and he thanked us and left.
Our experience with Apple Garage Doors and Tom could not have been better -- this was a consummately professional, completely painless, and extremely convenient encounter. We would absolutely recommend Tom and Apple Garage Doors to anybody needing garage door repair or replacement.

The technician was prompt and immediately went to work repairing my garage door.While he was there, he also oiled the parts of the door. He told me that, even though the garage door is quite old, he doesn't foresee any major repairs any time in the near future. AND, he was extremely personable. He did seem happy that he didn't have to chase and catch my dogs for me because he often had to do that for the lady who owned the house before me.

Called Tom for an estimate, he was able to come by the same day. He arrived on schedule for the estimate, even a little early. Because of faulty measurements by our contractor, we were unable to use standard size garage doors. He explained the various options in detail, making recommendations when requested. We special ordered our doors, Tom told us to expect them in two weeks. Doors arrived as scheduled, and Tom was at our house the next day to install. Doors were installed perfectly, and work flawlessly. We worked with many contractors during our house addition, and I must say that Tom at Apple Garage Doors was one of, if not the best, that we hired. I would hire him over and over again, and highly recommend him to anyone looking to have garage doors installed or serviced. He's professional, courteous, prompt, and keeps his customers informed ever step of the way.

My garage door opener (interior sprocket assembly) broke about a month ago and I had some estimates done suggesting complete replacement.

I put it off and called Apple Garage Doors (Tom) today based on the reviews here. Tom was able to fit me in the same day, arrived as scheduled and had everything he needed to fix my opener within an hour, including fixing a very tangled chain.

He also identified a serious crack in one of the door panels that would have destroyed the door within the year and braced it with a strut. He then corrected the incorrect installation of two of the top rollers, tightened the top portion of the door, lubricated all of the rollers and tacked on a section of loose weather seal for no additional charge. Great company and owner, very professional and friendly.

if I could give Apple Garage Doors an A++, I would without hesitation.

I called Apple Garage Doors based on reviews from Angie's List. My garage door was stuck wide open late on a Saturday afternoon. I was concerned that I would not be able to find anyone to fix it that night, but Thomas said he'd be there in a couple hours. He arrived much sooner than promised, did a great job, was very professional and gave me a price that I felt very good about. He told me he was willing to handle emergency repair jobs anytime day or night. I will definitely call him again if needed.

I picked Apple Garage Doors for my repairs based on the positive reviews provided by other members. Tom showed up right at the time we agreed upon when I called him. When he arrived he quoted $145 for the two springs, which was a bargain in my mind. He immediately went to work and replaced the two torsion springs. While he fixed the door we had a pleasant conversation, and despite my numerous questions it did not slow him down one bit. Once the springs were replaced, he checked out the motor and identified a problem with the travel distance contacts which he fixed at no additional charge. To top it off, he lubricated all of the garage door bearings and made sure that his newly installed springs were properly adjusted to match the weight of the door. Tom was both professional and courteous, and I would not hesitate to call him again for any garage door issues.

My garage door had been performing in an irregular fashion. It would start back up after I pressed the button to cause it to descend, as though there were an object or animal crossing the optical sensor. This happened multiple times, so I called Thomas, with whom I have worked before.
He came out, promptly, examined the door, checked the cables at the sides, and performed several fault tests on the door and the motor system in a quick and efficient manner. He lubed the track wheels and the door panel joints to be sure, ran a final test and said the door was working quite well. He did warn me that the main spring might be nearing its lifetime failure limit. He felt that it was best to keep using the door, because the spring might last for 1 to 3 years more, so replacement was not required.
Because there was no obvious failure problem, he did not charge me anything. I told him we could build the cost of his time and expertise into the next call, when or if the spring does fail. Thomas is a friendly, delightful and very professional person who operates his business with a smile and a good perspective on life.

The door wouldn't open. Tom from Apple Garage Door came out shortly after our call that day. The door was operational when he arrived, but sluggish. Tom said that the motor might be stressed and found that our cables were badly frayed. He replaced the 2 cables, serviced the motor and door, showed us how to program the motor lights and remote, programmed our remote and left us with a smile. What a nice guy. Easy going and hard working...he's our Garage Door Rock Star.

Garage opener was having trouble opening the garage door. Tom had previously been out to work on my garage door to replace a spring a few years earlier, I was happy with his work previously so I didn't have a second thought about using him again! This time one of the side cables had frayed and streched. Tom replaced both cable and did general maintenance. Motor is from 1982, so quite old, but doesn't need a replacement at this point. Tom was easy to deal with, came out promptly, and as scheduled. I was quite pleased with Tom's work.
