I am so happy that I have ANCAEABQ as my HVAC service company! They were able to fix a poblem in the drainiage pile and also connected the intke ducts in ecord time! Seems that the previous HVAC coapny that maintained my Trane full house HVAC system failed to connect the intake ducts--- After 18 yrs of this problem - - it ois such a relief that ANCAEABQ was able to fix this! THE BEST!

"ANCAE Inc. Heating Air-conditioning & Plumbing installed a new refrigerated air system at [Member Name Removed] s home. Months later, ANCAE received a call from [Member Name Removed]'s son saying that there was an electrical outage in the neighborhood, and [Member Name Removed]'s A/C was not working after that. ANCAE Inc. went to investigate and found that the electrical outage had damaged the compressor. ANCAE Inc. then contacted the manufacture and was told the compressor wasn't covered under warranty due to the electrical outage. ANCAE Inc. gave [Member Name Removed] a bid for replacement, but [Member Name Removed] placed the blame for the damaged compressor on ANCAE Inc. and refused service."

We hired ANCAE to fix our Carrier air conditioner in July 2016. After $500.00 worth of work, our air conditioner stopped working. We asked them to install a new Trane AC/Heating unit. They wanted to install a Goodman, but it has one of the worst ratings of all AC units. They installed the Trane and it worked fine through the rest of the summer. In April 2017, we turned on the unit and it did not work. We called ANCAE out and they diagnosed it as a broken compressor -- less than a year after it was installed. ANCAE proceed to charge us $1000.00 to fix it even though it was still under warranty (Trane paid for the new compressor because it was under warranty). Then we contacted Trane who told us that ANCAE had contacted them and told them that they hadn't installed a Trane AC in over 10 years! So, at this point we are now out the price of the AC/Heating unit plus another $1,000.00. In April 2018, we called a reputable company (TLC) to come out and check the AC unit before turning it on. The technician told us that the filter drier was installed backwards. I asked him what that would do to the AC unit. He said it could cause the compressor to fail. It cost $1,300.00 to fix it. I emailed the owner of ANCAE on 4/10/18 to let him know that his technicians improperly installed the filter drier. I never heard back from him. PLEASE - DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. THEIR TECHNICIANS ARE NOT PROPERLY TRAINED AND THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK.

It is a shame that some people just want to slander someone with out even talking to them. She did email me, but why didn't she just pickup the phone and call and meet face to face. We bought a policy where they come out and clean it twice, come out and service it twice for the year, once for the heating and one for the air conditioning. We have multiple units, so it's not like it's just one units, the house has multiple units, and if I remember it correctly, it was right at $500. The furnish a whole lot of services for that $500. I mean it's a nice package and they come and do a lot of work and they do free check ups and I don't remember what else. The price of this job I can't give you because it's all apart of this package. It was great. I think it's a great price. It's hard to tell what happens, but they have this service plan, and they just do all of it. I think it's a great deal. I have no problem with their quality, it's an A. They schedule and show up on time. They were right on time. They still owe me several visits on that, so I will absolutely use them.

The quality and quickness of his work are excellent. His prices are very reasonable (and way lower than another quote I received). My only complaint is that when I went to their store to pick up a furnace filter in the middle of a weekday (around 11:00 a.m.), nobody was there and the door was locked. A sign was up stating that someone would be back in an hour. I understand having few employees as a small business, but this was during the posted business hours.

It went excellent. The two men who installed and serviced the system were great and did a good job installing the system. They were professional and stuck to the task at hand and made sure to get it done. They made sure to answer any questions I had and how to understand the system.

I have worked with this company for 22 years and have been generally ok with their services with the exception of a few times when their estimates for a water heater and/or a swamp cooler were considerably higher than other companies. Sometimes some services were not performed properly but that was usually fixed after some discussion. We preferred to work with John. He used to be friendly, polite and professional.

So, when I got the bill for 225 for the switch-over of just one unit, I called John. He promised to look into it. We had also asked for an estimate for our second swamp cooler unit. That estimate appeared pretty high as well. John told me that he would get me a different estimate that would consider that part of the work mentioned in the first estimate may not be needed if we got a different unit. John said he would call me back as soon as he was at the office and had a chance to look things over. Well, that never happened. And I mean NEVER!

Since the switch-over, we noticed that we hardly got any cool air from the unit that had been serviced by ANCAE for 225.00 (incl. shutting down 2 furnaces = just unplugging them), but we blamed it on the extreme heat and figured the cooler may not be able to handle these temperatures as well as it should.

After a few weeks, I got a reminder to pay my bill! I was mad, but I paid and immediately went elsewhere to get another estimate on the second swamp cooler unit. Around the same time, we also noticed water running from the roof. Not all the time, but quite often. The second estimate we got for the second swamp cooler unit was over 800.00 (!!!!) lower than the estimate we had received from ANCAE, including installation etc. Of course, we went with that company that also offered an exceptional warranty besides the factory warranty. That unit was installed today. We then asked the installer if we needed to worry about the water coming down from the roof where the first swamp cooler unit is that at been installed and also serviced by ANCAE. He said that he would quickly go up on the roof and check it out. We also mentioned that we didn't even get any cool air from it before he went up on the roof to look at it. I have a two-story house, I am older and nobody from my household is able to get up on the roof. So, the worker today went up and told us that the doors of the unit were not even properly closed and the floater had not been adjusted right either. The whole roof was flooded! He said it was impossible for that unit to provide cool air. That's why the unit was basically just blowing air around without even cooling it. I am very thankful that we had this person here today to help us out, and he did it at no additional cost! We would not have called ANCAE back after our recent experiences, not even if they had offered to fix their mess for free!

An estimate for a water heater that I needed and got from ANCAE a couple of years ago was also much, much higher for the same water heater I eventually got installed through another company for around 900 less than I had been quoted by ANCAE. I figured at that time that they may be more expensive for new installations like water heaters, swamp coolers and the like but were still ok with servicing heaters and coolers. But at that time, I had already purchased one of my two furnaces and the swamp cooler on the roof through ANCAE which may not have been very smart on my part, as I found out later. I just trusted them to give me as an old and loyal customer the best deal possible. What a wake-up call when I finally smartened up and went elsewhere for estimates!

I cannot even tell you how disappointed I am after having worked with the same company for 22 years. I was never even given their senior discount that they advertise. That John also never got back with me when he said he would was an additional experience and prompted me to decide to never go back with ANCAE again.

If you work with them only once or a couple of times, they may still cater to you differently. After 22 years, though, I think you just become old news and they think that they can do whatever they want. After all, you stuck with them for so long, might as well stick around. Well, not with me. Not any more :(

Just a few years ago, I would also still have given them an A or a B. Not any more! Now it's a triple F for me.

John from Ancae called me and asked if he could come 2 hrs early for his appointment. I gladly said yes yes yes. He arrived right on time. When he arrived he introduced himself and was very professional and cleanly dressed. John described to me in complete detail all the work he would be performing. The work was completed in a timely fashion 2.50 hrs. Area was left cleaner then when he arrived. The price charged was a little over budget but the service I received from John and Ancae was well worth it.

They installed thermostats on the wall that were connected to nothing. They installed the system incorrectly and incompletely and I only really found out about this when they called me a few months ago for putting a lien on my home. I did not pay not pay for the service as it was not completed as per contract stated. I went to use the thermostat and it just fell off the wall; it was hung up like a painting-- not connected to anything.

Company did repair what was needed. During service call it was noted that another part was leaking and needed to be replaced. Technician stated that he would get an estimate and call back. No one called back. I called them back after two weeks. Secretary stated that she would have technician call. No one ever called. Part was installed this month by another provider.

"There was a water leak on his radiant heating. As discussed with the owner, the parts to repair the problem would need to be ordered and it was quoted as time and material because when trying to repair old radiant heating you don't know what you are going to run into. The customer never got back to ANCAE with the go ahead."

The technician showed up late on the first day and spent a lot of time in his truck in between trips to the roof. The pump did not need to be replaced after all and the only new item added was replacement tubing for the water line and the filters. He didn't finish the work on day one and had to come out again on a second day. After that, we got slapped with a bill for $975!!! For that amount, I could have literally replaced all three coolers with brand new units!  The day after the work was completed, we discovered that one of the units had flooded our roof due to a leak and water was pouring off of a canale.  Thankfully a neighbor alerted us or who knows how much damage could have been caused! We have since contacted another company and have already had them come out to give us an estimate for the shut down at the end of the season. When I told them about the start up fiasco they couldn't believe it. In fact, the owner of this new company told me that I should report them to the better business bureau for fraudulant billing practices.
Of interest is that the technician himself apologized for the bill and indicated that he had no control over what the owner charged. He also stated that he would be looking for another job or to start his own business in the near future since he felt that the owner of ANCAE .was unfair in his billing.

BILL FRAUD: The employee of the company gave me an estimate of "about 3 hours" for the work if all went easily - it did.  No mention of trip charges or other expenses.  His portion of the work was correctly billed at 3 hours, but two other employees were brought on to dig the 18" hole necessary to access the gas line.  The agreed upon price was $125.00/hr for the two combined.  Those two were on my property for 1 1/2 hours, which I acknowledged.  The owner of the company billed me for 7 hours for their time at $140.00/hr.   I paid the entire invoice minus the "padded" hours.  I wrote a letter to the owner explaining that I agreed to the invoice except for the over-charge for the two that were there for 1 1/2 hours. The owner cashed the check and is now refusing to warranty the work and threatening to place a lien on my property until I reimburse him for the fraudulently billed hours.  I spoke with the main employee who had told me not to pay the bill when it came because he knew it was too high and incorrect.  He said he would speak with the owner.  I also spoke with one of the two men who were here for 1 1/2 hours and he confirmed the time was correct.  Now the owner has told the employees not to communicate with me.  The owner is rude, combative and condescending - in phone conversations with him, he yelled at me and was incredibly rude and inappropriate. Do not use this company.  It's unfortunate, because I believe the employees are ethical and talented, and I thought I was working with them and that their estimates and word were what I was being bound by... wrong!  The owner gets to make up the rules as he goes.  Be very careful dealing with this company - if you are brave enough to, get everything in writing from the owner and do not negotiate with the person sent to your home or you will be the next victim of fraudulent billing.

They had installed the units 10 years ago.  I had them come in since then to put in a better filtration system which came in handy.  He came and cleaned the system out and we need to do that for 5 years.  They occasionally come by to check if everything is running properly.  I spend $150 on labor and spent $400 on the filtration system.  He knows what he is doing.  He is really good.

My experience with Ancae goes back to 2008 when our general contractor selected them for the HVAC work on our new house.  The quality of work was generally poor -- two installed air conditioning units weren't fully hooked up so it was clear the installers hadn't tested them, A/C condensor drain lines blocks the access to the air filters, several call backs to find the problem with the boiler which they could never diagnose, boiler ultimately had to be replaced with large % of the failure being placed on the sub-standard installation.
