Did not go well. They broke the top to my tank trying to get it off. Supposedly because the last company put it back on wrong. That might be, however, I was then told my choice was paying over $200 extra for a riser or having a jimmy-rigged top put on. Obviously, I chose the riser. I accepted all that, but then they decided to enter through a different gate when they were coming in with the riser. That gate was locked and they obviously tried to force it open with the lock on (although they claimed they did not), because my gate was off kilter and would not work right when I went to unlock it for them. To no avail, I have called repeatedly the last two days and asked for the owner or someone to call me back to take care of fixing it. Nobody has had the decency to return my call. Now I am left with a gate I cannot open and close myself and an outside quote of $45 to fix it. I have never been treated like this by any other service company in the 20 yrs. I have lived here.

We had been experiencing slow toilets in our house. The worker spotted and cleared a clog at the inlet to our tank, resolving the slow flush problem. Seemed very thorough in getting everything out of the tank also. We purchased enzyme for our tank to prevent future problems so that added $30 to the cost.

Was worried upon my initial call because whoever answered was maybe not the nicest customer service personality, but whoever called me back afterwards was stellar so that made up for it. I get it, it was the "after hours" emergency line, but I do need your expertise in establishing how much of an emergency it is as this is the first place I've lived with a septic system and not being on city sewer. My second interaction was much friendlier and the woman informed me that, yes, a full septic tank needs immediate pumping unless you're not planning using water for three days. She told me she would call when the guy is leaving the yard to come to our house. Though I didn't receive that call, someone showed up quickly and pumped the tank super fast. Great response time and overall services performed, would recommend and use again.

These guys do a good job when they're there, but there's a lot of poor communication.  Consider any appointment to be a 20% chance that they'll show up at that time, and a 40% chance they'll even show up or call that day.  Don't expect an apology, either...

Keith did a great job of vacuuming all the last fish emulsion so we can start our project.

Have used American for 15 years and they are always responsive and professional. I have a home with a basement so my septic tank is 10 feet below ground. I have a pump station to pump the sewage up to the leach field. The pump and alarm malfunctioned (or shorted) resulting in sewage backup in the cellar. American came out and got them going and offered solutions to prevent a recurrence. They were out 2 hours after my call and Rich was very capable and knowledgeable. I decided to get the tank pumped and they had someone out to take care of that in about 2 hours.

We've used this service for several years. In the past, adequate. This time the guy was unbelievably rude. He yelled at us for using some paper that did not dissolve (we weren't aware of that) and believe it or not, deliberately strewed the landscape with these papers! Shockingly bad, possibly criminal service! We'll certainly be looking for someone else else.

We called to get a price check and the dispatcher said she could have someone out in 20 minutes. Since we had already called around a little to get quotes, this one sounded comparable. We accepted the offer and a truck arrived shortly. He did the work quickly and was very pleasant.

If there were a grade lower than F to give a service provider, this company would get it. When we purchased our house in the East Mountains, we split the cost of installing a new anaerobic septic system (required by the County) with the seller. Unfortunately, the seller got to choose the installer and chose the lowest bid from American Pumping. American Pumping's incompetence was evident immediately. One of the features that attracted us to the house was the beautiful meadow of native grasses and wildflowers to the south of the house. That meadow and a grove of pinons was destroyed to make way for what we were later told was a septic system that was far too big for the house (a cynic might observe that the bigger the system, the more profit might be had). After destroying the meadow and trees, American filled the area with fill dirt contaminated with numerous noxious weeds that we are still dealing with 7 years later. Just as problematic, as soon as the system was installed, we began having problems with it. Intially, the main "trash tank" leaked. We called American and it was pumped and repaired. Then various alarms on the eletronic system began going off regularly. For three years we tried to get American to fix the problem, but it was never able to. Eventually we gave up and hired another company to fix the issue. After we stopped dealing with American, and had our system serviced by other companies, we have found that there are other problems with the system installation and wiring that have needed to be fixed. Most recently, in April of this year, we discovered that the pump system that pumps treated septic water from the treatment tank to the drainage field was improperly installed and wired and fails to comply with code. We are still trying to get that problem fixed. If we were to be charitable, we'd say that American Pumping is grossly incompetent, at least in terms of septic system installation and follow up service. We have spent thousands of dollars fixing the system that American installed. Seven years after the fact, we are still dealing with problems caused by improper installation. If you choose American to install a septic system, you do so at your own peril.

THE OVERALL SERVICE OF THE WORK WAS VERY FAIR, NOT THAT IT'S TOO HARD TO PUMP A TANK AND THROW SOME LIQUID DOWN A DRAIN. THE COMPANY GAVE ME THE WRONG QUOTE AND THEY CHARGED ME AN EXTRA 200 THOUGH. IT TOOK TWO WEEKS FOR THEM TO FIX THE MIX UP.
