Steve is amazing. He is friendly, courteous, and very reasonably priced. I was selling my house and needed to get the fireplace working as part of the inspection. Steve came and immediately recognized that a previous owner had retrofitted a gas burner into an fireplace insert rated for wood burning only. He removed the gas burner & logs, and took out the gas line. He capped the gas line under the house, checked for leaks, and plugged the hole in the fireplace where the gas line had been routed. He cleaned up everything before leaving. It is now a safe & legal wood burning fireplace. He is very knowledgeable and experienced, and I would definitely recommend him.

Steve did a great job. The gas fireplace had not been used for many years--Steve was very thorough and fixed discovered problems with the igniter and switch as he went. I was very happy with the work performed.

Replaced pilot generator. Now it ignites as soon as wall switch is pressed. While he was here, we had him clean the firebox and install a fan kit with a thermostatic blower. We are very happy with the work performed.

We had 2 gas-burning fireplaces that I thought might have been built to wood-burning standards. American Fireplace Installations came out to inspect them. Let me know that either or both could be converted. Installed a gas starter in one of the fireplaces and removed the gas log mechanism. They came out very quickly; it took less than an hour to do the conversion; the cost was quite reasonable; we are very happy to have a cozy, wood-burning fireplace now.

Quick and expedient. Cleaned and assembled everything correctly. Last year's home inspection revealed the cover was not attached but it had not been correctly repaired by home repair servicer as a condition of our home purchase. Lesson here is to ask for money for repairs during home purchase to have them done by YOUR own choice of the correct servicer for gas log fireplaces which is American Fireplace.

Great! I called on a Saturday about our fireplace not working. He came within an hour and quickly identified the problem. Fireplace works now and looks good as new. Definitely would recommend him to friends.

Mr. Morrison removed an old gas log and replaced it with a new one in an existing fireplace. He inspected the fireplace, the gas lines and secured the damper. He was courteous, prompt, professional and fair. When we had an issue with the pilot light a week later, Mr. Morrison came to the house the same day that we called him and fixed the issue. He stands behind his product and his work.

Steve met with my wife and I and we discussed options for our two fireplaces - he made suggestions based on his experience which helped us decide how we wanted to proceed. We decided on a radiant log fireplace for the den and a 'glass on fire' fireplace for the master bedroom. We scheduled the installation for one week later (today) and Steve arrived at the arranged time and did a great job. Steve was friendly yet professional, kept a very clean installation and did a phenomenal job for us. He installed both fireplaces in under two hours and taught us about their safe usage. They are both beautiful! We really appreciate the time he took to help us decide what products to get. We LOVE our new fireplaces and want to thank Steve for a great job!

He arrived on time and got right to work. Not only did he fix the problem I had called about, but he also cleaned the fireplaces for me, tested for gas leaks, and taught me how to use the fireplaces better.
