This job was done by making a plumbers cutout in the fiberglass of the tub so a plumber could have access to the valves that needed replacing. When the job was completed the tub/shower looked brand new. A job well done. Ralph also negotiated with the plumber to make the plumbers` price affordable. Ralph and Angelo were very responsive and worked diligently. They kept me in the loop on the work done and materials needed and I am very happy with the results. I had a dated guest bathroom and they refinished the pink tile into white along with tub and removed the brass accordion door as well as installed new fixtures to replace brass ones. Bathtub was originally a salmon color ca. 1960.  Now it is a spectacular bright white and looks brand new.  Brought two different people to look at it and they were astounded.  I'm very pleased with the work.

Tub now looks great

This was an unusually difficult job.  The bathtub is an unusual shape, making it hard to work on.  It had been reglazed some years  before, so Ralph had to scrape off the poorly done prior glaze, a tedious and time-consuming job.  When the work was completed, the bathtub looked like new.  We could not have been more pleased with the outcome.

Amazinglace was awful. Buyer beware! We wanted to change the bathtub from pink to white and the tub itself was in excellent condition. They came out and sprayed something and then one of the workers came in and told Ralph, the owner that he needed to come in and look at something. So, he went in and they started working, acting as though everything is going great but when they were ready to leave we went in to inspect it. It was awful, there were big globs of material that had settled in the bottom of the bathtub, quarter-sized. The texture where it should have been smooth was fine and gritty. The front of the bathtub had even more texture on the front and it was such a thin coating that the original color of the bathtub was still showing through. He came back in and he sprayed it again and it looked just as bad as it did before. He told us to let it settle and to call him tomorrow and let him know what we think. He said we didn't have to pay him for it if we didn't want to, but to call and tell him what we think. We never paid him because it was 100% unacceptable. We actually ended up having to pay another company to come out and remove his finish so that they could come in and refinish the bathtub. When they removed the finish my husband was there watching them and he said the finish just peeled off like paper. He never prepared the bathtub before he applied the finish. He gets F's all the way around. We didn't want to put this review up because he was a nice person and he had excellent reviews from everyone on Angie's List, but it was awful.

The tub is an old iron & porcelain model, it was scratched and discolored. The prep. work was done carefully and the tub looks new. Ralph also ordered some parts to bring the tub completely up to date. The rest of the bathroom has been remodeled and having the tub finished put the finishing touch on the bathroom. I would highly recommend Ralph from Amazinglaze.

Ralph was very professional.  Told me the process would be and worked hard to two days to refinish a bathroom tub that was in pretty rough shape.    Tub looks amazing.  Didn't think it could be brought back as it had been damaged severely.   would use him again.

Our new tub finish is irregular, bumpy, and has spots in it. During his estimate Ralph said how he would fix the irregular grout line around our tub. He did not do what he said and the grout line around the tub looks horrible. I would go with the other guy if I ever need another tub worked on.

Ralph worked around my schedule, arrived at the appointed time and got to work right away. He assessed what was needed for the project, had all the material necessary and worked almost nonstop. Ralph took extra care to protect the tile, faucet and other surfaces during the process. Although some chemical smell is present, he took measures to ventilate and control air flow so the fumes would be at a minimum. He worked quickly and efficiently. The old tub had been in worse shape than I had assumed. Ralph did a tremendous job restoring it. The tub looks new, and it is much easier to clean. He also provided information on how to care for the tub. He stands behind his work and he encouraged us to call if we had any questions. I would recommend him to anyone who wants to refinish or restore a tub. For the same price, we could have never had a new tub installed. We're glad we contacted Ralph.

Ralph showed up on time on the two occasions and went straight to work in repairing a rusted and punctured area under and next to the overflow drain.  This gentleman is a true professional, good natured and very knowledgeable of bathtub/shower repair including the fixtures regulating water flow.  This job required three different contractors, plumber to replace a three-way valve inside a wall, a tile specialist to replace one broken tile, and a drywall installer.  Ralph worked around each of the other contractors, offered his valuable suggestion of what sequence each should accomplish their work and always remained calm, professional while injecting humor and a sense of confidence needed to reduce the stress of this complex repair.  I will schedule him for reglazing of another bathtub in another home I own.  The high ratings in Angie's List were the factors used in hiring Ralph.  Our bathtub looks like new with no hint of repair having been made and Ralph was an absolute pleasure to work with.

Ralph showed up on time, every time. When he came over to give the estimate, he also removed all the tub trim and hardware so I could go buy replacement parts. The first day of the work, he sanded and removed all the old mineral deposits, fixed a chip, and reglazed the old tub.  The next day he came back and installed the new tub fittings I had purchased.  It is like an entirely new bathroom!  A flawless job, done very well. Yes, the new finish was quite smelly (sort of like spray paint or nail polish) at first, but in a few hours as it dried, the smell subsided.Had I known I could have a new bathroom for such a low price, I would have hired Ralph years ago. I will definitely use him next time I have a similar project. He was professional, friendly, helpful, knowledgable, and just fun to have around!

He did an an excellent job and did his best to keep the chemical smell down. The tub looks absolutely new.  He even grouted the base of the tub that had grown mold.  I would recommend him over and over again.

Extremely satisfying experience, and high-quality work!  Mr Ralph Thierry was very prompt, courteous, professional, and certainly does know his stuff!!  Very competent and efficient, he completely "sized up" the task at hand, explained the appropriate "plan of attack," and got to work immediately.  In preparation for the stripping and reglazing, he found that our tub drain connections were not properly attached, and he went to great lengths to get this repaired, including providing new pipe sections, and attaching them behind the tub wall.  It was quite involved, and he was very thorough.  The stripping of the old glaze from the tub was a huge task, and Mr Thierry tackled it with know-how and determination!  I was very impressed with his conscientiousness.  Same was true of the stripping and reglazing of the fiberglass shower pan.  Mr Thierry also cleaned up all the debris VERY SATISFACTORILY after the work.  Here it is now, a year later, and his work has held up beautifully.  This company uses the most durable glazing material on the market, and it shows!  I have had no "peeling" as I did with the old surface material.  I would highly recommend this company for this situation any day!
