Arrived on time, went through the old system and adaped our system to their's.  Professional and honest.  The system does work as our dogs set off the alarm while we were away and as we arrived home the police were present.  We recommend this company.

The alarm representative arrived and went through the monitors already installed in the house one by one. He checked the entire system, changed out faulty door monitors, installed the key pads, and checked all the panel work in the main box that exists from the previous system. He found problems with the battery that required him to come back the next day but had the system operational on day 1.



I wish I had completed this review when the work was first completed so I could actually state the name of the young man who  came to the house. He was great! He walked me through every aspect of the system, made sure I understood all functions and was happy with his service. He was very respectful and responsive. Since then I have interacted with the billing department and the actual monitoring service and everyone has been pleasant and professional.

I wanted installation done quickly and it happened within 2-3 days of my phone call. Technician was friendly and proficient. I like the system because the parts are seamless and can be controlled by my phone. I can see the inside of my house from my smartphone, I can arm and disarm. I can put a temporary code in for a guest to use.
I got tired of hearing about break-ins in my neighborhood, so I moved quickly. Afterwards I learned about The Alarm Store (TAS)  that is cheaper, but I have no regrets. It is done, it is professional, and it works.
There was one negative - AFTER it was all installed I was informed there was a mandatory 5 year contract! That is just absurd! This sort of information at this stage felt dishonest and manipulative. I refused. Technician called his office and obtained a three year contract, which I suspect is their norm. I asked what they would do if I moved out of the area and could not use their service? Answer was they would find an affiliate in the new area and continue the contract. My sense is they will not bend on contracts so beware. I know I will be here for three years, so this works for me.

Alpha offered to upgrade my alarm system free if I switched to Monitronics for monitoring. The monthly cost was less than I was paying, and the equipment they were offering was superior, so I agreed to switch. They arrived promptly and performed the service. I have had no problems in the time I have been using Monitronics. The equipment is more reliable than the previous system, and I have had no false alarms as I did with the old equipment.

some glitches with appointments, the equipment is ok but could be better, probably for the money as good as it gets. all personel was friendly and professional, exept for missed appointments and some rather late arrivals. All in all was good experience and would use them again. I have had other companies and they are no better if not a lot worse.

1. The salesman/consultant arrived promptly and was professional.  The only problem, I had with the consultant was that he made a bad recommendation on the placing of the smoke detector.  He suggested putting it in front of a air vent.  Other than that, the initial consultation went fine.  The installation also includes several accessories.  I chose a remote key fob and a light module. 
2. The installer arrived promptly and was professional.  Alpha alarm wired all windows and doors, including my garage door for $49.00. This is the best coverage of any alarm company, I have researched or used.  The only problem seems to be with the "Z Wave" wireless system.  The single strength is a problem.  I wanted the control panel mounted next to the garage door, which the installer did.  However, I had several light modules (for turning outside lights on and off) installed, outside the front door.  There was a problem with the Z Waves not reaching the light modules, so the panel had to be moved to the front door.  This left some touch up work that needed to be done to the wall next the garage.  Also, after a couple of months, the outside modules had stopped working.  When a service rep came to check out the problem, it was a problem with the Z Waves again.  However, at this time the Z Wave strength issue was recognized as a problem and a solution was developed.  The manufacturer developed a Z Wave Booster module, which can simply be plugged in to an electrical outlet.  It has been several months and everything is still working.
3.  I purchased an additional key fob and 2 light modules.  Accessories a a bit pricey.  The three I bought cost about $200.00.
4.  Overall, I am very satisfied with the system.  Cover all windows and doors, plus a couple of accessories, for $49.00 (Angie's List deal) was a great bargain.
Recommendations: 1. Make sure you get the Z Wave Booster.  2.  Check to make sure that the panel can reach all of the alarm and accessory devices, before you mount it on the wall.  This will save you having to touch up the wall if the panel has to be moved.

Overall the service was very professional, one DO is to ask what exactly am I getting and having to pay for.

Installed alarm system, home was already pre-wired. We have never had an alarm system before, they came back to check system as we learned. We had problems a little later as we learned to work the system to find they had to add a sensor to an upstairs window. They provided additional training and installed the sensor, no charge. Since then we have had no other problem

Alpha installed a touchscreen system in my business. I had Security
& Access Controls for my alarm company previously. They had become
unresponsive. I was referred by a friend to Alpha Alarms. Had a good
experience, they installed everything, and the technician ray was very
respectful.

They designed the plan upfront so that I knew exactly how much it would cost. They came out thrice to teach me how the whole system worked. I can reach them anytime and they come within the same day if I need anything. They are very professional and I feel safe around their workers. They pay great attention to detail and their service is outstanding.

They did everything they were supposed to do as advertised and everything was installed and working. I give them all A's and will use them again in the future.

The tech did his job well. A couple of my windows did not work right from a previous (before I owned the home) ADT install, so glass breakage sensor was set up over that area. So far, so good.

I have not had any issues with Alpha Alarms. I am satisfied with their services.
