Six years ago I trusted Albuquerque Plumbing to install a high end Weil McLain high efficiency boiler to heat my home. the cost with tax was $19,997.13. When I turned on the boiler this year it would not operate, and water ran out of the unit. I turned it off and called Albuquerque Plumbing to have them come look at it and let me know what needed to be done. They refused to do so unless I paid them an additional $90. We should all think twice before making a significant investment with a company that won't inspect a problem with a unit they recommended and installed without charging a fee.

Drain Cleaning
I used Angie's List to look for a plumber and was quite apprehensive based on reading so many negative reviews about how many dishonest plumbers are in Albuquerque. Albuquerque Plumbing, Heating & Cooling called and left a message for me and I called this morning. My toilet wasn't draining, after repeating plunging. Fore Gen Plumbing called and told me their starting price is $129 and I wouldn't find a lower price. They were wrong. Albuquerque Plumbing, Heating & Cooling quoted me $75 for auger service, from the toilet side. The auger didn't work, so the plumber offered $105 drain cleanout service. When the clog was cleared in 5 minutes, he told me the $105 included a 90-day warranty, free reservice if I have any more clogs, leaks, issues. Corey did an outstanding job, very impressed with his professionalism, courtesy, honesty and integrity. Not only did he call ahead, arrived early, he wore a mask and shoe covers.

Water Heater Service
The tech showed up on time. He quickly assessed the problem. Two options, replace the control valve at $700.00 just for the part. Or get a new water heater. I found the control valve on Amazon for $135.00. I paid the $95.00 service call fee for all of five mins of his time. Do yourself a favor and call a smaller shop.

The tech who showed up was really creepy (kept asking me if I lived alone) and also didn't bother to tell me that the pump was broken when he turned the swamp cooler on. He tried to convince me I needed a new furnace and quoted me $6k for it. I had another HVAC person come look at it and they were able to do a simple repair for less than $300.

Mark arrived within a few hours and successfully augered the drain, found and removed the obstruction. This is a rental property and he called me immediately to report the results and even sent me a photograph of the obstruction. (a toothbrush!!? )

Woke up to AC not working. Aaron showed up quick and called on his way. Diagnosed the problem in minutes and fixed it lightning fast. Diagnosed the system and confirmed it was working properly. All for a fair price for same day service and lots of tips for cost saving system maintenance.

Installed 6 months ago and we were very happy with it at the time, but now that we needed to change the filter, they tightened it so much that my husband cannot get it off to replace. They want to charge a service call fee to come loosen it. Not good customer service in our opinion. They have lost a customer. We have used them several times in the past few years and had always been very happy with the service. They did not offer to come loosen when they had someone in the area.

Everyone, everyone--the office staff, the estimator, the team of two plumbers, the electrician--were friendly, professional, courteous, on time, and took the time to thoroughly explain or answer all my questions. They called when they said they would. They did what they said they would. They cleaned the work area when they finished. They are now THE ONLY plumbing, heating and cooling firm I will ever use.

JJ provided a detailed description of work needed to remove and replace my 20 yr old rusted cooler, complete with photos and an itemized list of labor and parts. Gerrod and James arrived within the time parameter, introduced themselves and got to work. They did need to go get a larger unit and within 4 hours my new cooler was up and cooling my house. What I paid was exactly what was estimated. I received photos of every step of the installation.
