Excellent work! I got an appointment within 24 hours. They scoped all the ducts and the furnace with an inspection camera, removing nesting material and the body. Other companies wouldn't even take the job.

The first cleaning and concreting, and preparation of either the sheet metal plenums or the round sonotube ducts went reasonably well. The follow-on work of spraying the plastic type material, the encapsulating material in the duct also sent fairly well, with 10 of the sonotube ducts being quite clean of dirt or debris, and accepted the restoration work of creating a consistent tube to conduct the air. The #3 duct in the house had an area of approximately 10 feet of original ductwork that was significantly more difficult to clean and re-line. For the following two years, the ductwork system in the house worked to distribute the air throughout the house. The original work was done in June 2015. NOW, in June 2017, while in the midst of a home inspection for the buyer of my house, the Duct #3 was found to be in need of additional work to create a proper clean, round, smooth duct. Air Duct Medic, LLC, Marvin Hamilton, responded to my calls for help to remedy this situation. His crew's came out to my house within one week of my call, to clean the duct, and re-spray the encapsulating material into the duct. While the quantity of sand that entered the ductwork tube was minor, it looked bad and was called out by the inspector. SO, two years after the original work on my ductwork, Marvin Hamilton kept his word that he would repair the areas that might have appeared to need attention. Marvin stated in 2015 that he would stand behind his work and make it good were it needed in the future. AND, after interviewing at least 4 of the duct restoration contractors in Albuquerque, and choosing Air Duct Medic, Marvin Hamilton, they not only did the original work as described and promised, AND without niggling requests for extra payment for Change Orders, their Crews returned to "touch-up" the original contract work. In my interview process, Marvin was fully straightforward about his work, his pricing, and what he would do to guarantee his work. AND, Marvin was the only one of the four contractors that did not offer disparaging remarks about the other contractors quoting this work. My experience was what I expected of a contractor doing work on my house: that is, to price it fairly, and do the work for that price, and assure me that the work would be corrected if it needed additional work. Marvin Hamilton did what he said he would, that is, to repair my ductwork and stand behind his work in the future. Each of the contractors I talked to had varying reviews from the Realtors, the folks that were in the position of dealing with this repair issue on re-sale homes. Marvin Hamilton, Air Duct Medic, LLC was the contractor I chose, and he performed the work and stood behind a "warranty call" 2 years later. The performed a virtually flawless job for me. I certainly would use them again!

The ductwork in the entire house was inspected using a camera, and we were then allowed to see the video.  We could see the areas of concern, and were given an explanation of what all could be done to put it in good shape.  We were given a detailed estimate of the cost, and scheduled an appointment soon afterward.
The guys showed up right on time, and were extremely nice, polite and completely professional.  We were given an explanation of what they were going to do, and approximately when they would be finished.  On the first appointment, they thoroughly cleaned the ductwork, careful not to damage some of the fragile areas.  The second appointment, they fixed the "fragile" areas along with any other problems they could see coming from evidence in the video.   To do so, they used concrete which had to cure before they could continue.  On the third appointment, they applied the sealant.  Once the sealant had time to cure, they returned to do another video of the completely cleaned and fixed system.  It looked like new.
I knew that the duct work needed to be cleaned sometimes, and that repairs should be made, but I was actually surprised by how much better the air conditioning worked afterward.  The improvement in air flow was incredible, and I'm sure the unit doesn't have to work as hard to cool the house.   Any time the unit keeps the house cooler and without having to work as hard,  it makes sense, saves energy and best of all saves me money!  I highly recommend this company for their knowledge and professionalism, and for making it pleasant as well.

We have a 60 year old house withe the heating vents under or in the pad. I thought that someone would be jackhammering up the floor to do the repairs. My fears were unfounded, the exam was done through the heating vents ans so were the repairs. All the visits were professional, and the guys worked the entire time, so each visit was done as quickly as possible, no lollygagging around. The digital camera and computer were used in each visit to make sure the areas were completely repaired. I would not hesitate to call again, if we had another problem.

I was pleased with the workmanship. Each of the three sessions working on our ducts took about an hour. I did call them to confirm when they were coming before each of the visits because they were involved with several jobs because the weather was warming up and they were busy.

The guys from Air Duct Medic were really friendly, and knew what they were doing. Using compressed air, they start at one side of the house and move towards the blower while using a huge vacuum to suck out the stuff the compressed air breaks free.
Because my ducts were under the floor, they didn't use anything but the compressed air to avoid damaging the ducts. Some of those ducts are made of cardboard, so an abrasive brush could destroy them. Was nice to see that they took care and avoided damaging something that could be really expensive to fix.

Response from Air Duct Medic, LLC
"You are confused. You called me and said you had called a company that did air duct cleaning for $69.00 and they did not show up for two appointments. I told you that the $69.00 company is a rip off. Our pricing for 15 years has been at least $250.00. I gave you a special Angie's list price and told you what your cost would be up front. You set the appointment and we showed up on time and completed the work as discussed, and at the price you agreed with. We are not the company that has a $69.00 rip off price. We had only the one appointment and Jarrid said you were very happy and satisfied with the work and price. Please call Marvin at 505-897-1161. To discuss this totally wrong review. You received a $100.00 Angie's List discount, giving you a better than our 15 year pricing. Which we covered and explained during our conversation to set the appointment. You have confused us with the first company you called. You called us out of desperation due to them not showing up for two appointments, and that caused you concern, and it should. Air Duct Medic is not the $69.00 company. They are a rip off and should be turned into the BBB and local TV stations investigative reporters for their business practices. Please correct and remove this misleading report.."

Overall, this went well. I've seen other companies charge less, but I'm not sure if they do as thorough a job as Air Duct Medics did.

They did a very good job. Parts of the services they provide are sequential in nature, from inspection to cleaning to reinspection to repair to post-inspection. We are through phases one and two, the cleaning and the initial inspection. We are waiting for an estimate to see what kind of repair work they are recommending and the price of it. I have been very happy with their services to date. They were a little late in coming out but they were pretty good about giving us a call telling us they were going to be 20-30 minutes late. The price of inspection and the cleaning were very reasonable. When I get the estimate of the next phase I can choose to do it or not. Right now they are still in the A range but it's still a little premature to grade them fully. I will definitely use them again, at least for what we've done to date. Hopefully I'll be getting the estimate for repair work next week.

They were very prompt in coming out to video the duct system. However, it took two months to get the bid and then another month to get the process of repairing the duct system started. There were some problems with scheduling which resulted in them not showing up a couple of times, but when they did start the work, they were very polite and efficient. I have not seen the final video to verify the work done, but I was assured everything looks good and no other problems were found. The final video and warranty are to follow in a week or so.
I hope this is the final step for us since we hired another company (Aerite) 5 years ago to do the same repairs and paid considerably more for a 10 year guarantee. That company is out of business so the warranty was worthless.
Overall, I am satisfied with the work done and would recommend them to anyone who has problems with their duct system. However, be sure to get a firm commitment on how long it will take and when the work will begin before giving any money upfront.
