The guys showed up right on time, and were extremely nice, polite and completely professional. We were given an explanation of what they were going to do, and approximately when they would be finished. On the first appointment, they thoroughly cleaned the ductwork, careful not to damage some of the fragile areas. The second appointment, they fixed the "fragile" areas along with any other problems they could see coming from evidence in the video. To do so, they used concrete which had to cure before they could continue. On the third appointment, they applied the sealant. Once the sealant had time to cure, they returned to do another video of the completely cleaned and fixed system. It looked like new.
I knew that the duct work needed to be cleaned sometimes, and that repairs should be made, but I was actually surprised by how much better the air conditioning worked afterward. The improvement in air flow was incredible, and I'm sure the unit doesn't have to work as hard to cool the house. Any time the unit keeps the house cooler and without having to work as hard, it makes sense, saves energy and best of all saves me money! I highly recommend this company for their knowledge and professionalism, and for making it pleasant as well.
Because my ducts were under the floor, they didn't use anything but the compressed air to avoid damaging the ducts. Some of those ducts are made of cardboard, so an abrasive brush could destroy them. Was nice to see that they took care and avoided damaging something that could be really expensive to fix.
"You are confused. You called me and said you had called a company that did air duct cleaning for $69.00 and they did not show up for two appointments. I told you that the $69.00 company is a rip off. Our pricing for 15 years has been at least $250.00. I gave you a special Angie's list price and told you what your cost would be up front. You set the appointment and we showed up on time and completed the work as discussed, and at the price you agreed with. We are not the company that has a $69.00 rip off price. We had only the one appointment and Jarrid said you were very happy and satisfied with the work and price. Please call Marvin at 505-897-1161. To discuss this totally wrong review. You received a $100.00 Angie's List discount, giving you a better than our 15 year pricing. Which we covered and explained during our conversation to set the appointment. You have confused us with the first company you called. You called us out of desperation due to them not showing up for two appointments, and that caused you concern, and it should. Air Duct Medic is not the $69.00 company. They are a rip off and should be turned into the BBB and local TV stations investigative reporters for their business practices. Please correct and remove this misleading report.."
I hope this is the final step for us since we hired another company (Aerite) 5 years ago to do the same repairs and paid considerably more for a 10 year guarantee. That company is out of business so the warranty was worthless.
Overall, I am satisfied with the work done and would recommend them to anyone who has problems with their duct system. However, be sure to get a firm commitment on how long it will take and when the work will begin before giving any money upfront.
