I took my vacuum to Abbey Lane on Tues. May 20th. I was greeted by a very nice woman who carried my vacuum in for me. I told her it was smelling like burnt rubber and I thought it was probably a belt. A nice man came over, Mike, the repair guy and we talked about it for a moment. I received a call from Mike on Thursday saying that it needed a new belt and roller bar and the cost was $36.98 plus tax. I went to pick it up on Friday and Mike was very professional and nice. He carried it to my car and told me that my vacuum has a small switch that frequently goes out. This switch costs 33 cents, but then you have to pay for the service to take it apart. He said he replaced it since he had it apart! Isn't that going above and beyond for service!

They were finished in a couple hours. They are reasonable in price and gave us a bag and new filter. They did a great job. I would hire them again. Mike is the one who performed services.

Placed the order. Waited approximately 5 months - never got a call to let me know the part was in. I then called them and spoke to one of the women at the store; instead of taking a message, she asked me to call back the following week to check status (not very politely I must say). I insisted that she take my and have the service manager call me back. Waited another two weeks - still no call. Finally, I got another call back and he insisted that he had been calling me for the last five months and left four messages (no messages had ever been left). I finally had to buy the part myself online and will have to install it myself. This is unfortunate, because I have had very good service in the past from Abbey Lane. Oh well.
