We are a full service auto repair shop. Our specialty is automobile transmission and drive train repair. However we also do brakes, air conditioning, and all type of car repairs. We are locally owned but have the strength and nationwide warrantyof 850 sister Franchises throughout North America. I have a master rebuilder who has been in the business for over 30 years, and my mechanics are ASE certifed and have over 50 years of combined mechanical experience. We will check your vehicle out for free, and give you an estimate before any work is done. Financing is available with same as cash terms. I took my truck in to the shop the last week of may. to have the transmission replaced. I was to the price would be 3000.00 tops. no written estimate given. after a month and a half I was told the price would be 4100.00 and I was never called to approve anything extra.

My 2001 Acura 3.2TL was towed from my residence to the repair shop, the free tow was provided by AAMCO. A week later my wife picked the car up and drove it home, when I looked at the interior, there was oil residue on the steering wheel, seat, center console and door panels, all leather components. They put a paper floor mat on the floor carpet but that did not help the rest of the leather interior. There was a strong odor of transmission fluid in my garage. Next day, there was a two foot by one foot puddle of transmission fluid on garage floor. I took the car back to the shop with pictures of the leak I had taken with my I PAD.
They responded right away to this situation and took the car back in to the shop. I informed them of the mess left in the interior of the vehicle and that a quality inspection needs to performed after every repair. A week later I picked up the car and drove home. So far, all is good.

Could not entirely fix A/C because they would have to take the whole dash board out, and that would've cost $150, which I didn't have. They did as much as they could.

We took my car and my daughters car and they were both done by early afternoon, service was great, prices reasonable and most IMPORTANT OUR Brakes our working such much better, no more squeaky noise and shaking when i was on FWY going over 60 mph. Thanks guys. :)

Others had told me this was the best transmission shop in town and as such was always busy. They were right there was a line of cars being worked on but the manager Mr. Lugo had it all under control. He took the time to let me know the process for diagnostics then for any needed repairs. His technical knowledge and expertise was evident, as I had made a few calls to a dodge dealer mechanic friend of mine, who not only confirmed the possible problem but also recommended Lugo. He was right on as to the problem and was right on time and estimate for the transmission rebuild. As a former jet and helicopter mechanic it is sometimes hard to trust other mechanics but with Lugo and the owner John explaining everything it was easy. Their work product is truly awesome.

I spoke with Mr. Lugo by phone in advance of my appointment, and we had agreed upon a day and time amicably. I arrived at 10:30 at AAMCO, and departed one hour later. Mr. Lugo took my order immediately and was very conscientious about getting the work done speedily. The air conditioning has been working perfectly since. I was so pleased to work with a reliable and also very pleasant shop manager. I would definitely recommend his shop to others needing reliable auto service at a good price.

Work was completed, but I was under the assumption that the coupon included the refrigerant. The manager did not even know that I had already paid Angie's List the 29.99 and was about to charge me extra. When I questioned the amount he called to verify what I needed to pay and I paid 20.00 more which was fair. I just felt that he needed to have more information and that he did not have the training or understanding of how Angie's List works. Everyone was very nice and helpful and we got the job done. I would not hesitate to go there again.

I took my car to AAMCO because transmission was not shifting properly when first starting out on cold mornings (works fine in warmer weather). When this happened the transmission got stuck in high gear and did not have any power. They believed the cause was a pressure switch which they replaced and then test drove the car. It appeared to be working so they called and said it was fixed. The car worked fine for me for a while but I think at the time the temperature was warmer so it was not a true test of the fix. The car still has the problem but it is improved. Now if it acts up first thing in the morning when it is cold I can get it out of high gear by stopping and turning off the car and restarting. This did not work originally. I never took the car back for fear of them telling me that the next step would be an internal diagnosis which would cost much more money.

A couple of questions come up is it says work was completed in December of 2011 but just now completing a review. I am not sure if this was an incorrect date that you put in.....so if you can review it that would be great. I took over the shop from the previous owners on May 1, 2012 so you might have been dealing with the previous owners. We also work with the customer to make sure we get them back on the road as economically as possible so I am not sure if we did an inexpensive fix just to get your car back moving again or if your car's tranmission has some more serious problems and we jointly made the decision to see if the inexpensive fix would do the job.... Regardless, we would be happy to do a free multipoint inspection with your vehicle and at that point then give you an estimate that will go over options to fix your car! Since you are a returning customer you qualify for a 10% discount....We appreciate your feedback and want to earn your business. The brakes were done in a timely manner. They picked my daughter up from work so she could pick her car up. He also offered to pick up any of our cars at our home to take it in for service. They are very personable.

Aamco was highly recommended by a friend. Contacted Aamco who suggested I drop off my vehicle for a free diagnostics and estimate. Individual stated they opened at 7:30am, which was also noted on their website. Had a friend meet me at 7:30am to drop off vehicle. There was no one available until 7:50am. They contacted me later and suggested I needed a new starter, which I was already somewhat aware of the issue. The individual stated I could purchase a new one for $500 or a refurbished for less. He recommended the cheaper route in which I followed his advise. They close at 5:00pm and had to leave work early to get to the location by COB.
