A-Ron's Pest Control

Ron does a great job of pest control and I have used his business A-Ron for years. He's punctual, affordable, and uses a product that doesn't harm birds (I have a canary). A realtor friend also uses him for all his pest-control needs.

He did a great job.

I called before 5 pm on the 23rd and was told that the person who would perform the work would contact us that night about when he would do the work-either that night or the following morning. He did not call until mid-morning of the 24th and would try to be here after his last job on the East side of ABQ (4:30 pm). We estimated that he might be here by at least 6 pm. He did not call, but showed up at 7 pm. He completed his work fairly efficiently. When he created the bill, he charged us $5 more than what I had been told, even after the $10 credit for being part of Angie's List. We were to let him know if we saw signs of ants/roaches after a few days. My husband called several days later, as he had seen a couple of roaches in the garage, but was told to wait until it had been a week. We have been attempting to have them return as we see ants throughout the house still, in trails and by themselves, but all attempts, both to the office and speaking with someone and to the mobile phone of the individual who performed the services have been ignored. I am still finding ants crawling on our bed, on my clothes, in my kitchen and in our bathroom.

I'm very pleased. He went the extra mile to ensure the roaches couldn't cross our threshold without poisoning themselves. For the first week they were dying all over the place but now we rarely see them in the house. What an improvement!

A neighbor next to me located a very large compost pile against our fence within close proximity to my house. Had many ants crawling from this location to my home as well as other areas of house. He did a thorough job spraying and listened to my feedback and assesment also.

Ron and a young man helping him came out as scheduled to spray the inside and outside of the house. Both were very friendly people. My only concern was that Ron did not go into the laundry room or our converted garage room and did not get behind some furniture as I would have expected. I don't think we got the discount we were supposed to get since we got the company info. off Angie's list.

He is very good, prompt and reasonably priced.

Before he started the work, we discussed our infestation problem. He explained the seasonal aspect of our roach problem. He also worked on our Black Widow hiding places. We also received an explanation about how to keep kids and pets (we don't have either) away from the treated areas - baseboard and exterior at the foundation. There was no discussion or pressure to sign a contract and he explained that future applications would be about $15 lower each trip. He felt that, given our location in the city, we might not see any "creatures" until June or July. We were given his business card and urged to contact him if we had any other questions and/or problems.

They always do a great job. When we first moved into our Foothills home, we were having a huge ant problem in the kitchen and bathroom. Ron really took the time to spray a lot in the problem areas and this prevented a recurrence. The chemicals they use are the same ones used in hospitals so they are safe for children and pets. Ron was a sole proprietor but he has recently hired Jeremy to work with him and eventually take over the business. Jeremy is always friendly and on time.
