They scheduled appointment with us first available a week out. The guy who answered sounded like he just woke up. They never showed up for the appointment and when I called, I got the same guy sounding like he just woke up who didn't seem to care about my concern about the no show. I've worked with this company before through the people who roofed my house, so I thought I'd like to throw them some business. Very disappointed.

I called A & J Services the day after Christmas, and they came right out with 2 technicians. This was a good but 40-year-old Bryant furnace, and the technician was not afraid to touch it or repair it. He told me what could not be replaced in case of future problems, but he fixed it. Bryant does not make these motors anymore, but the man who took my call assured me they could find a good replacement motor to do the trick. They did not try to sell me a new furnace, which I do not need. I know this company only had 1 previous Angie's List rating and it was bad, but they have cleaned up their act..

I contacted A&J Services, arranged for them to come to the property and provide an estimate. They stated they would be at the property within a 2hr window, approx 1.5 hrs late they called to inform me they had a truck problem and needed to reschedule. I was a tad upset since I waited around for them but sometimes things happen. We rescheduled for a couple of days later, they again provided a 2 hour window but showed up an hour late. I was very specific in what I wanted them to evaluate and provide a written estimate (email or US mail), they were courteous, looked at the system and agreed to get back to me within two days with an estimate. It is now a week+ later, still no response. Even if I were to receive a response I would not award them the work as I doubt they would show up on time and/or complete the work on time. I have subsequently contacted three other HVAC companies from Angies List (all "A" rated) - hopefully one of them will work out.

I request the same technician each time. I trust everything he says. They tell you if it is not worth fixing. Their price is reasonable. I also appreciate that he told me, from his experiences, which appliances to buy.

THEY DID EXCELLENT WORK. I WAS VERY SATISFIED WITH ALL ASPECTS OF THERE WORK AND PROFESSIONALISM. I WOULD GLADLY HIRE THEM IN THE FUTURE IF NEEDED. THEY WERE ON TIME.
