Arrived on time and did what was expected.  Gave some tips on using the fire place and maintaining it.

Richard came in late December to take measurements.  He gave me an estimate of $980.  He required a down payment of $400 because the chimney cap had to be replaced and it needed to be custom-made.  I provided the down payment on or about December 10.  Due to the holidays and the need to have the chimney cap built, the installation took place on January 2.  WHen he arrived on January 2, he showed me the new cap which was all stainless steel.  It fit perfectly on the chimney.  He took off the existing cap along with the vent cap which goes on top.  He painted the vent cap and installed everything within a few hours.  The old cap was disposed in my garbage can which was fine because it was not a very big piece.  The new chimney cap and the vent cap make the chimney look new, plus I no longer have leaks coming down my chimney was was causing mold problems.  I was very happy with Richard's service.  I thought the price was reasonable and the installation well done.  I refused to go up on my roof to actually get a close-up inspection, but from what I see from the ground, it looks great.
