It was a pleasure to work with Robert Tell and his workers. The building project in our home was done on time with perfection and high quality of materials. I would always use them again if needed.

Amazing! Rob was incredibly responsive and clearly knowledgeable. He spent so much time talking with me talking through options and weighing the cost/benefit to each. He was completely on target in terms of budget. And the end product is incredible!

We hired Rob at RJT Builders to do a full kitchen remodel this past December. From the initial consultation to completion, Rob was extremely professional and assisted me and my wife throughout the entire project. Eric, the project manager, was on-site each day to oversee the day-to-day work and ensured that the kitchen was completed on time and on budget. The subcontractors (demo, plumbing, electric, painting, etc.) were all very qualified and did excellent work. My wife and I could not be more pleased with RJT’s work. We highly recommend RJT.

The workmanship was amazing and the price never changed even with some small changes and issues that arose during construction. It did take much longer than expected but timing was not super important to us.

Rob and Eric performed an excellent job on our basement. Each one of their employees from the demolishing all the way through to the electric, plumbing and flooring was undertaken with the utmost professionalism. They were always very punctual, very communicative and very polite in their conduct. There is probably every chance we would hire these guys again as we have the rest of the house to work through before we are done. Well done guys...highly recommended, thank you.

RJT did a great job and the work was high quality. What I liked most was their responsiveness to issues and the fact that they did what they committed to do in the time frame specified. If they said something would be done on Monday it was. I also liked the fact that every retailor they recommend for raw materials was also high quality and responsive.

Rob gave us a date of when he would start and that's when the work started. He told us that his goal was to get us back into our kitchen as soon as possible-and he met that goal! The cost for the entire job was also competitive when we compared it to the other quotes we'd gotten. For the most part the sub-contractors all arrived when he said they would-they were only late when they got held up at another job which is out of anyone's control. They all worked very efficiently, were detail-oriented and the work they did was almost flawless. The "almost" part was minor details; for example the bottom of one cabinet was slightly loose. Rob was very responsive to a text, phone call or email; he took care of fixing those details right away and again was very quick to respond to our concerns. We also decided that we wanted to paint the rest of the living areas in our house. He said it would be no problem and again gave us a competitive price for the painting. We were back in our kitchen in three and a half weeks-and that included painting the rest of the house! That is unheard of in this day of shady contractors. It would have been three weeks but we had to wait a few days to get our granite countertops and no work could be done at that time. Overall, Rob was awesome-he is a personable guy who responds to his customers concerns as soon as he can. His sub-contractors all did great work and their work was near-flawless. We have been recommending him to everyone who even mentions that they need work done and we will definitely use him for future projects.

It took them four months to finish a four weeks job, lack of communication within their team. We haven't moved in when the work start, so I have to go to the house everyday to check the progress and inform their onsite manager which work is not right, sometimes I feel like I work for the company. When something is wrong, work not be done as we want, their first reaction is try to convince me accept it not fix it. The delay of the work upset the whole plan of my family, we have to live with a mess through the Thankgiving, Chirstmas and New Year.

We only have one full bath in the house so it was important that the work was done on time and right the first time. The permitting and inspections were all handled seamlessly so that we could use our bathroom again as soon as possible. All of the tradespeople hired by RJT were excellent - they were quick, clean and competent and the few little hiccups along the way were dealt with effectively. We would highly recommend RJT to work on any home improvement project.

It was great! The work was done professionally with minimal disruption to the home. All work was done on time and the quality is excellent. Greg's recommendations were helpful - he understood what we needed. Greg was always available to answer questions and helped guide us through the process.

RJT was very punctual when it came to schedule the estimate. It was a sizeable job.  Instead of having a large crew come over and knock out the job within a few days, it was stretched over several weeks because only 1 guy would show up but I wasn't in a rush and the quality didn't suffer at all.  Their work was immaculate and they paid attention to every detail our family was concerned with Rob, the head contractor, did his best to respond quickly but at times I had to wait a few days for a response.  Again, VERY minor inconvenience and their workmanship and respect more than make up for this.  RJT was probably extremely busy so I can't really fault them for lapses in communication.  Their pricing was extremely fair and I would recommend them to everybody I know!!  If you need anything painted with exquisite detail, RJT Remodeling is the contractor of choice!!

We found Rob Tell's company on Angie's List when we bought a house that needed some updating. We knew nothing about him other than what we saw on Angie's List. I'd say we got lucky. Our new house was originally a Cape Cod that had had several additions over the years, resulting in a lot of internal walls and a cramped and dark feeling in the house. Also, there was no master suite: the master bedroom had no direct access to the ground floor bathroom. And neither of the 2 existing bathrooms had been touched since about the 1950s.
This was our first house, after renting apartments in the city, so while we knew we wanted to make some changes to the house, we were also very open to guidance in terms of suggestions to make best use of space, take into account structural details, etc.
We ended up hiring Rob after an initial consultation where he was on time (or early). We liked right away that he was professional but not a robot or a jerk. He had opinions and both shared and explained them. We ended up, with his guidance, opening up several walls, adding a half-bath, bringing the washer/dryer up to the ground floor, completely re-doing both existing baths, and creating a master suite in the process, and re-painting most of the house. There's a bunch of smaller jobs that Rob's crew did, too, but those were the big projects. 
We're thrilled with the results and wouldn't hesitate at all to work with Rob or his crew again. The overall budget ended up being a bit larger than we expected but that's mostly down to me and my wife's decisions in terms of tiling and other materials. Rob was completely upfront and kept good documentation about what work was going to be done and what that would cost. We would also say that Rob was great in terms of setting expectations and meeting them in terms of overall timing for the project. There was a tiny bit of a setback in terms of timing but that was because the required permits took much longer than they should have - I wouldn't (and don't) blame Rob there.
My wife and I couldn't be happier with how our home turned out. And we have reached out to Rob a number of times since this work was completed, for advice on other home-related things, and Rob has always been quick to respond and/or offer guidance. We look forward to working with Rob again, and would enthusiastically recommend him and his company to anyone.

After several talks with different contractors, we've decided to sign with Russell at RJT. We were impressed with his knowledge, hard work, and responsiveness to our phone calls and emails and felt he had our best interest in mind. The RJT crew was very courteous and professional and, most importantly, clean. We were very pleased with the level of respect for our house. They kept us informed throughout the entire process and, with the exception of a few work order changes on our part, they managed to complete the work on schedule as promised. The pricing was very reasonable and includes a lifetime warranty. We are very happy with the results and would definitely use them again.

We hired Rob and his team of workers for an overhaul and remodeling of our kitchen,   The project came in on budget and was completed within the timeframe promised by Rob.  Rob was always responsive (even on weekends and after-hours, if needed) and remained in touch with us throughout the project.  He was competent and offered creative and reasonable solutions to the inevitable problems that crop up with such a project.  We would recommend Rob, without hesitation, to any one considering a home improvement or renovation project.

Horrible job they perform.. They have no experience its company of handymans .. Within years all my doors started falling apart also molding .. Horrible tile work they did in bathroom .. Never use them again

Responsiveness was immediate, Rob made an appt and came out to look at our concerns, He told us what the options were and approximate costs.  He gave us an honest opinion about what would be the best solution while not having to spend a ton of money.  No pressure. We called the next day to let him know our decision, scheduled for workers to come and they did when they were supposed to. They were respectful and friendly and did a great job. I passed RJTs name around the condo building because we were very happy with our experience.
