Over the past year I have been working with Amerigas on priceing of LP gas. They have continuely been charging more than a $1.00 more gal than anyone else in our area. Because they wouldn't bring their price in line with the others in the area, I changed to a new LP provider. They removed the old tank and contacted Amerigas for pick up. To date, (almost three months) Amerigas hasn't picked up the old tank. Details below: In November 2014, I switched LP gas provider and had installed a tank from Woodruff Energy rather than pay the . They notified AmeriGas that their tank needed to be picked up. I didn't hear from Amerigas. On Dec 5, 2014, I called Amerigas and asked them to pick up their tank. They said it would take between 6 to 8 weeks as they were busy. On Jan 21, 2015, I called Amerigas talking to Chystal who said she would check on it and call me back. I never received a return call. On Jan 26, 2015, I called Amerigas talking to Pam who said she would check on it and call me back within the hour. I didn't receive any call. On Jan 27, 2015, I received a call from Amerigas and they said they would pick up the tank on Feb 13th. On Feb 13, no one from Amerigas picked up the tank or called. On Feb 16, I called Amerigas talked to Pam who again said she would check on it and get back to me within an hour. I didn't receive any call from Americigas. On Feb 17, I called talked to Chystal and she put me on hold and after she "checked on it" she said that they would pick up the tank on March 6th. I told her that was unacceptable and that if it wasn't picked up my Friday, Feb 22th I would file a compliant with the State of NJ Attorney General's office. She said she would pass the information on. It is now Friday the 20th and the tank is still here and I haven' received a call.

I have been getting LP gas for over 13 years and until Amerigas bought out my old provider, everything was fine. When Amerigas became my provider, the price has continued to raise. I now know that Amerigas has been charging me around $1.25 more a gallon than most of the other providers in the area. Since my old company, Blue Flame, installed my tank, I now know that Blue Flame owned the tank. Since Amerigas bought them out, they own they own the tank. More recently, I called to find out the price of LP gas since winter is coming on. Amerigas's price is $3.85 a gallon. I checked with two others and found that the going rate is now between $2.49 to $2.59 a gallon. That's a $529 difference. When I called last week they told me that is their price. I have since signed an agreement with another provider in the area and they are removing Amerigas's tank and putting in they own. Their price is $2.49 a gallon now (however, they are giving my first fill up for $1.99 a gallon.
Description of Work: Delivered LP Gas (even when my tank was over 60% full) I believe so they could charge me the higher price before summer came on.
