 + -1 moreAs time went on, the service deteriorated. We made the mistake of giving them a key. Then, when we discontinued using the service, we couldn't get our key back. After repeated calls and requests, our key was not returned. A few months later, we were desperate and we called them at the last minute to clean the house. To their credit, they did respond and came to clean the next day. But, suddenly the price was different - and of course was higher. Rosie stated that the reason for the price increase was because the house was "dustier" than normal. Really? It was apparent that she was gouging us on the price because we called at the last minute and we hadn't used the service in a while. And, she didn't advise us of the increased price until the job was almost done. The only good part was that we got our key back. Bottom line - we won't use them again - EVER! I hope they enjoyed the extra profit on their final cleaning of our house. They won't be seeing future business from us.
Description of Work: Maid 2 EcoClean cleaned our house approximately every 3 weeks for approximately 3 months. Our home is a row home in Philadelphia that has 3 floors, 2 full baths and approximately 1100 sq ft. The initial rate was $135 (before tax), which does not include the "deep clean" service. The initial appointment was ok. The apparent manager, Rosie, reviewed our home and quoted a price. The price quoted was the price charged, at least at first. Initially, the service was pretty good. The cleaning products they used smelled good and the house appeared clean. They moped, dusted, ran the vacuum and cleaned the bathrooms. They brought flowers at every visit, which was a nice touch. The initial cleanings were better than the later cleanings. The crew changed and the service deteriorated.
