Paul Benjamin Siding

Paul Benjamin replaced the siding on my home. It was a superb job. I would recommend him to anyone looking for siding. I don't have anything to say negative about the siding job. He also suggested different ideas so my house would look unique. Everyone loves how different and nice my house looks now. Paul also replaced my deck. Decks are not what he specializes in. He knew I was looking for one contractor to do all the work I needed done. Paul's brother-in-law does decks. Paul helped his brother-in-law and another guy build the deck. The deck I was less pleased with. Some wood was warped and they used it anyway. I was told they couldn't help the imperfections in the wood. This wood was used on hand rails. The wood is warped, sticking up and cut badly. I had to do a lot of sanding and I mean alot. The wood looks better but still is noticable. They nailed beams instead of using screws. They cut a lot of the wood too short. Sitting on the deck, you could see sunlight and nails showing through the side beams. I have used a lot of plastic wood to fill in the gaps. I paid extra to have screws on the decking floor instead of nails. So many were missing but Paul did come back and put them in. They rushed through the job and it shows. I would not recommend having a deck installed by him. I wanted a roof over top of the deck but couldn't because of a skylight being too close to the edge of the roof. Paul suggested an aluminum awning. It is awesome. Love it! We have had a couple problems with it leaking slightly. Paul has come out promptly each time I have called with a problem to fix it. Paul Benjamin does excellent siding work. The awning was a bonus. The deck was far from good. The deck is the reason I gave him a rating of "C" for quality.
