My favorite part of this store is the logical layout. Dan was the sales rep in the Williamstown location who helped us pick a new mattress. He could point to the "budget" corner of the store, the "luxury" corner, and the steps in-between. He did a great job giving us just enough of a short sales pitch to get us started, and then he set us free to try different mattresses throughout the store. But because we had his guidance and a general idea of the store layout logic, we were able to try out those mattresses with some direction, some efficiency -- it wasn't just random. Once we narrowed it down to 2 or 3 front-runners, Dan talked us through the features and the prices, including the features that DIDN'T matter. That's part of what made his information so credible - he knew what was important AND what wasn't. We bought during a holiday sale, and had chosen a mattress that was "excluded" from the advertised discount. But they showed that they really wanted our business: Dan and his colleagues answering his calls at the Mattress Factory home office did everything they could to make us feel like we got a discounted price even though the only thing they couldn't adjust was the mattress price itself. Every sales person has a list of things they CAN negotiate... you just have to ask the right questions to get that list on the table. Dan made the negotiation perfectly pleasant; he told us what was on the table and helped us decide which choices would make the most impact for us. I never want to buy a mattress anywhere else.
Description of Work: We visited the store to buy a mattress. They helped us choose one, negotiated the price, and scheduled delivery. When the drivers brought the mattress the following day (Sunday), they were remarkably nice, and efficient. They removed my old mattress, brought it to a storage spot I wanted to keep it, wrapped the old mattress in plastic (saved me money by re-using the plastic that the new mattress had been packaged in), and set up the new mattress.
