Our vinyl gate broke just last month. We contacted this company and they came to measure and finally fabricated a new one quickly. Everything was done efficiently and we didn’t face any issues. Surely recommended.

Awful service. One of the posts they put up was falling over. After trying repeatedly to get them to fix it (over ten calls and email) I saw them working on a fence across the street and walked over. They finally went to fix it. However, Instead of fixing the post they removed it from the ground and left it in my back yard. Two more calls and nothing back.

The worst customer service ever. They are rude and disrespectful. The owner of all people was rude, disrespectful and was yelling at me on two different occasions. Plus, the person who answers the phone sarcastically asked if I can read? Did I read the contract? But the contract said credit not debit. Therefore,They overcharged me and was disrespectful because I asked why. They gave me one price I gave them my card information but was charged more. They could a said how much the total came up to if it was a fee. If I wasn’t charged the 1st time I’m not expecting to be charged a card fee the next time. Then they refuse to reimburse me and said I made him sick to his stomach. They already overcharged over $1000. So After I signed the contact I called asking the price and the owner didn’t know I was already a customer. The price he gave was over $1000 less then the price the project manager and I agreed on. But I already signed the contract, therefore, I still had to move forward. The owner got mad when I asked why is the project manger charging me more and said well take that up with him when he comes Monday. But you the owner so why are you telling me to ask the project manager. You are responsible You are the one who should be explaining to me why he can charge more then the You the owner. Or maybe he up sales or that’s his commission? Either way it seems he lets him get away with it because he disregarded the question. Then started yelling talking about how good a person the project manager is. But No one could answer that question. Then they charge a fee for the last payment but not the down payment when I used the same card. His excuse was the first time was complimentary. Then he tells me the project manager explained that to me. I told him he never verbally told me that and where is it written in the contract? Since they emphasized the contract so much. He tells me I’m a lier and he knows what the project manager told me. Wow, I couldn’t believe my ears. That was BS and he knew it so he started yelling at me telling me all the people who likes and loves him. That was totally unprofessional and uncalled for. He has a habit of talking highly about himself and his staff to disregard the BS they really pulling and avoiding the question. They all in it together and they all full of ****. Worst customer service I ever experienced in my life.

2 months after install a post dropped 6-8 inches. After 4 calls and emails ,with pictures ,the problem has not been resolved.Avoid this company if you expect service after the sale. Will never recommend this company. This is a simple fix that could have been resolved in 1 hour.

They were ridiculous. The quality of work was okay, but I don't think it was anything extraordinary. I think anybody could have done that. I was very offended by the sales person that came out and I should have turned the guy out on the way he acted here at my home. I very regrettably did not and that's my fault, but then the most recent dealing with them was hurricane sandy. One of the panels of the fence was blown out and part of their sales pitch was that there will be a lifetime warranty on the fence. When I called them and told them that the fence needed to be fixed they came out and they told me that it would cost me $75 for them to fix the fence. I was like okay, there's supposed to be a lifetime warranty on this fence and what's with the $75. He said that's like a yearly fee whenever they have to come out and they would have to charge the $75 if something happened and that was misrepresented to me. If they are going to charge people they need to make that clear and I think I should get my money back.

It is clear that Kevin, the owner of K&J Fence, is incapable of conducting himself in a professional manner.  No professional would tell a customer, let alone a female to "F- Off" (and he used the actual word).
Fence was installed November 2013.  The work his company did is under warranty for one year per our contract.  Last month I had noticed one of the panels on the back wall of the fence didn?t appear straight and confirmed my findings with a level.  The gate was also not closing unless the door was physically lifted up or I went outside my property and pushed on the door.  I contacted K&J Fence via email and sent a picture of the panel and explained both issues.  I made a phone call after sending my email and spoke with Kevin who indicated he needed more pictures. Although I explained it was difficult to photograph a gate not closing I took several pictures of the gate and sent them.  I was unable to reach him again despite a few follow up calls.
I made a call today to inquire about scheduling a day in order to have the installation corrected.  It was really that simplistic.  He informed me that he does not schedule appointment(s) and for me to leave my property unlocked for the workers? arrival which would be unannounced, at any time in approximately the next two weeks.  When asked if I could get a call the day prior at least I was told that wasn?t guaranteed since he didn?t know when his employees would be coming out.
In summary, my interactions with the owner of the company have been absurd and unacceptable:
- He refused to address/schedule an appointment
- He told me to leave my property unsafe
- If I did not meet his requirements, he didn?t care and would not return to fix the issues
- He told me he didn?t want me to keep calling and so wouldn?t tell me when they were coming to do the repairs
- He told me if the gate was locked upon the arrival of his workers a note would be made and he would not be rescheduling or coming back a second time
- He hung up on me twice
- He was belligerent and foul mouthed; even telling me to go ?F-off?(actual curse words spoken)
Taking all of this into account, I do not trust a company like this on my property nor do I trust that reputable work will be performed hereafter.  I refuse to waste any more time dealing with K&J Fence --doing so would be foolish.  Moving forward, I am reaching out to a Professional to do the repairs.

I called for a quote. Kevin McConnell arrived and was very professional and courteous. He worked with me on the price. We went over all the options for fencing in detail as well their professional mission statement. I signed the agreement contract on 19 Jan 2010. We scheduled to have the fence installed on 9 Feb 2010. It was a rough year with snow and of course I knew it was going to snow on the date of install. I did not receive any curtesy call to inform me of a reschedule. I called K&J the next day and they told me they would call me back with a new scheduled date. They never did. I had to call again in the near future to finally get the date from them.
As for the actual install. My yard had to be flagged out for the utilities. The utilities guy actually came to my door and told me the individual he talked to on the phone at K&J had a major attitude problem. He could not find my house on the GPS so he called K&J to get my location and whomever answered over there, told the utilities guy that it was his job to find the address and not K&J's responsibility. The point being, he could have delayed my install because apparently the inspector didn't have to go out of his way to find my house.
The day of the install went smooth with minor discrepancies. When they showed up there was a young man in charge. He asked if I had the permit. I was assured by Kevin McConnell that they would secure a permit and I did not have to worry about anything. Just in-case, I had went to the city and inquired if I needed a permit and I did not. He seemed to give me some gripe about securing a permit and it was not his job. Either way I told him we didn't need one for the township.  I remember asking if they minded if I watched because I enjoy seeing how things are done. The young man in charge said that it was fine just not to get in their way. He came off rather rude. So I let them be. They got the fence done very quickly. I asked them to lower it more towards the ground so my Daschund did not dig under it and get out. This man's reply was "I know you are the customer, but it's my name on the fence and it needs to look good and level" I had no more patience for these types of comments so I told him "That's right, I am the customer, so put the fence on the ground so my dog won't dig under it" He didn't reply he just did as I asked and guess what? The fence still looked even and incredible.
A section of my fence blew over during a storm shortly after the install and half my post caps disappeared in the wind. They fixed the fence and put new caps on in a timely manner. I'm not sure which crew did that but a day or two later the young man who did my install came by asking about the fence being blown over. I told him it was fixed. He seemed miserable and with an attitude like I accused him of installed the fence wrong. All was settled.
Over all the end product looks great. However, this young man definitely needs to stay away from the customers or the phones. I wish I remembered his name. Very unprofessional and it makes the rest of the company look bad. I did recommend them to a friend and told them of my problems. My friend had them install a fence and had the same issues I just explained.

I contacted them online for a quote and emailed my land survey.  They scheduled an appointment to come out in person to provide a full quote and discuss our needs.  The sales person arrived on time as promised and was very friendly and relaxed.  The quote seemed in the middle to the upper end of the scale and it was due to the quality of parts I was assured. I agreed and signed a contract.  They had an appointment open on my day off (Good Friday) and had PSEG mark the gas lines prior to the appointment.
Mike, the foreman, called a half hour before arrival and showed up on time. We reviewed everything and he was very helpful and kind. It was nice working with a professional team and having a positive feeling of working together.  The job was completed same day within a few hours, about 140ft of chain link fence and while there was one hiccup it was quickly resolved to everyone's satisfaction (especially ours).
I would highly recommend this company for fencing.  Everything was straightforward and as agreed upon.

The fence install went as I wanted after spending a lot of time with the installer.  I would not think that the results of the fence install would be as good had I not spent so much time setting up the job with the installer and even providing some of my own tools.  Becuase of a family emergency of the worst kind, I had to leave while the installation was being done.  I had explained to the installer how the arbor should be installed and I expected that they had experience with such things. Wrong.  The mounting brackets that hold the arbor in the ground were supposed to be installed in the inside of structure. The installers simply mounted them on the outside which was unsightly. I called K&J at least 5 times to speak to someone about the problem. I eventually fixed the problem myself.  By removing the arbor and re-installing it mysef correctly.  Each time I called K&J I was lied to and told that I would recieve a call back to discuss the matter. I never received a call back.  I simply want the cost of the arbor install refunded at this point and I'll have to take it up with state AG's office.

We've used this company twice, and both times we have been pleased with their work.  The first incident was in April 2008 after a windstorm blew down our stockage fencing.  Our insurance covered some of the damage but it was a great opportunity to get some decent fencing for our backyard.  We visIted the location to get an idea of pricing, style and even colors.  They came out to estimate and an appointment was setup.  They came out on time and was a full day project.  Great job!

The second incident was in September 2012 after a Jeep drove thru our fence and 4 other neighbors' before crashing into a tree.  No casualties, thank goodness, but our whole back and one side panel was gone.  A guy come out to estimate the cost and took samples of the fence to match up the colors.  Our insurance covered it fully this time, and they came out on time just like before.  Only took 2 1/2 hours.

I will say, they didn't call to confirm the appointment with this recent job (I can't remember about the first one), but the quality is top notch (two different adjusters confirmed this).  Wouldn't hesitate again to use them when our next disaster strikes.

We needed approximately 75 feet of a detoriating post and rail fence replaced with vinyl. We called several companies in the area and K&J was very quick to respond. A representative came out quickly and we already had two of four estimates. My husband actually met with Paul and we were very pleased with the estimate  so we decided to go with K&J after all of the estimates came in. Once we signed the contract and gave a 10% deposit, they came back in 3 weeks to complete the job. Any questions we had regarding the contact were answered immediately via email.  If we felt the email answer was not sufficient or clear, easily called the office.   The quality of the vinyl is very good. Actual work performed: 6X8 Privacy Solid 100% Virgin Vinly (no substitutes) with standard posts and one 4ft wide gate. On the day of service, the fencing materials arrived on time @8am and Bill from K&J and his helper Kevin was there 30 minutes after to start the project. Bill and Kevin removed the old fence and took the debris with them. They even removed weeds and small trees that would have intereferred when installing the new fence.  Bill took the time to explain the procedures he used to install the new fence.  Bill was professional and informative .  Last year, we replace the fencing in the front of the house (we used a different company) and Bill explained and showed my husband a couple of glitches that would have improved that installation of that job.  Also the quality of the vinyl is less superior than the product used by K&J.   The project to replace the back fence was completed within six hours with two workers.  We are pleased with the outcome.
