FORREST TREE SURGEON

Received a knowledgable and frank consultation about what needed to be done. Removed two trees, ground the stumps and trimmed up a few other trees in less than 3 hours. Professional and friendly, and they cleaned up the yard too, all at a good price. We made the right choice using Forrest Tree Surgeon and we'll definitely call them again.

They came in with a team of 6, a picker, a heavy crane, several bobcats, a massive shredder, a stump grinder, pro-grade blowers, and a whole pile of Stihl saws. They went at those trees like nobody's business. 6 hours later the trees were removed, the firewood was in the back yard, and there was very little evidence that the tree was ever there. It was as close to a perfect job as it ever gets. The entire crew were very professional.

I called Forrest on a Tuesday, I believe, and asked them to give me a quote for the work to be performed. Rob Forrest, the owner, came out on Saturday to take a look at our trees and give us a quote. I believe we were told when we initially called that Rob generally does quotes on Saturdays. Rob was very friendly, listened to what we wanted done and gave us a quote. The price quoted was definitely reasonable and was about half of the cost of the quote provided by another service. At the time, Rob said that he thought that he would be able to do the job within the next two weeks.
Two weeks went by and we didn't hear anything from them. I called their office number and asked when they would be doing the work. All I was told was that Rob sets his schedule during the evening and that he would call us the night before they came out to do the job. Another week went by and we still didn't hear anything. Another call to the office only resulted in the same answer about us getting a call the night before the job was done.
About 4 1/2 weeks after we got the initial quote, I got a call at work saying that they were going to be doing the work at our house that afternoon. After we got the initial quote, my wife and I decided that we wanted an additional branch removed from one of our other trees. Rob said that he would call when he got to our house so I could tell him which branch we wanted taken out. When they got to our house, Rob did call, we discussed which branch we wanted removed and Rob gave me a quote for the additional cost.
When I was done work and got home, they were pretty much finishing up the work. All of the work agreed upon was done. The workers did a very good job cleaning up the yard and the yard looked great when they were done. I'd estimate that they completed the entire job in about 1 1/2 hours.
The bottom line is that they did a wonderful job for a great price. However, if you need the job done quickly and you need a lot of advance warning before the job is done in order to prepare, you might want to consider choosing a different service.

It took three different visits for them to give us the estimate we wanted. We initially only wanted three trees taken down but at seeing the difference in price from other estimates we wanted a second estimate to have other trees trimmed along with a few other dead trees taken out. However after some time of the contractor coming out and knowing exactly what was to be done the date was set and the crew went to work. The job was done over the course of two days and there was a lot of work to be done. I was not home for a majority of the project but my neighbors who watched at the spectacle said it was a Mechanical Ballet how well the crew worked the machinery.

They come, work like crazy, and clean up after themselves. They did a very good job and we are pleased.

The cost was reasonable. They came when they said they would. They did a thorough job.

This service is well equipped, very competent technically and operationally, and they are effecient and organized. They took care to minimize any collateral damage to property and landscaping. They cleaned-up very well before leaving. The estimated price was the final price, and it was lower than 2 other bids for the same work. The only negative was the length of time it took to get them here to do the work, since they are extremely busy.
