+ 1 moreI've lived in high rise condominiums for 14 years in two different buildings. I have needed general contractors multiple times over those 14 years, but I just met and hired Jerry Aversa in July of 2018 when I bought a condo in a building in Philadelphia that was built in 1940. Jerry is the best contractor I've ever hired. His fees are very reasonable. Jerry is professional, knowledgeable, honest and trustworthy. He and his staff have excellent craftsmanship. He hires good crew who share his work ethic. He is gifted at creative solutions to unexpected problems, and he has a very calm temperament and demeanor. He was respectful of the fact that he was working in my living space. Incidentally, i broke my elbow during the most significant part of the rehab job. This is really when I learned of his kindness and compassion, as he was very accomodating, and his even-tempered demeanor was very helpful to me, as i easily became frustrated with vendors and suppliers, but he maintained a balanced attitude throughout the project. I could not be happier with the work he did for me. I will hire him for any further jobs that I need done in the future, and I would recommend him highly to anyone that asked me for a recommendation for a contractor.
Description of Work: Kitchen totally remodeled after gas leak discovered in a newly-purchased, but 80 year old condominium; installation of multiple appliances, flooring, kitchen cabinets, resanding floors; installing new Miele washer/dryer; painting; installation of ceiling fans, track lighting in multiple rooms

Description of Work: Jerry gave us a very fair price and did a very good job. He did an entire kitchen renovation as well as rebuilt an outdoor over hang structure. The kitchen looks beautiful and we've received many compliments. When we brought concerns to Jerry's attention he remedied them to our satisfaction. We would use his company in the future for other projects.

Description of Work: Jerry Aversa and one of his employees, Maurice, added a second bedroom to my condo. This included adding a generous closet,crown molding,French entryway doors and painting. They did a terrific job and cleaned up after themselves. Jerry added wood designs to the French doors so that they matched the other bedroom's doors. I will definitely hire Jerry Averse and his staff in the future. Averse contractors are welcome at 2601 Parkway Condominiums. They have been recommended by other homeowners in the building and meet the requirement set forth by the Homeowners Association.

Description of Work: This was second time I use jerry to remodel our home. He was pleasant to work with. He installed an exhaust fan in my bathroom and fixed many, many little things. He did an excellent job. Highly recommend.

+ 0 moreI ordered a new toilet because my toilet started to leak and I didn't want to replace the inside of it again. It turned out the floor was rotten and the toilet was leaning. Jerry came and gave me a reasonable estimate to redo the bathroom (toilet and shower stall). I ordered the tile, shower faucet, pocket door, and toilet. Jerry moved the walls back to create a larger bathroom, moved the toilet area, installed all materials. His tiling is perfect and creative. He installed a niche and seat in the shower, great lighting, and a new window. The only item he contracted out was the shower door which was custom made. All in all, I will definitely use Jerry and father again. He was always on time; behaved appropriately and I very much appreciated his work.
Description of Work: Jerry Aversa and his father demolished and remodeled my shower and toilet area. Created new walls; new hole for toilet, installed toilet, shower faucet and tiling; installed new window. Also painted new room.
