Joe and his workers did an incredible job at my house. He removed a load bearing wall to open up my kitchen/living room. He completed his work in a very timely manner. Both him and his crew were extremely respectful and tidy while working in my home. He also put gorgeous crown modeling throughout my house. Will definitely be hiring him again for more work!

I was so impressed with Joe and his company! Great customer service, fair pricing and awesome quality work done in my home. The crown molding looks absolutely stunning. Him and his crew also sheet rocked and spackled our garage. I would highly recommend and I’m looking forward to hiring him again for more work.

Poor workmanship and horrible customer service. Ashforth Carpentry was hired to perform sheetrock and spackle work at my home. Joe Ashforth dropped his workers off at the job site and then would disappear to another job without even inspecting the work from the prior day. His workers did not follow simple directions and complicated a simple job. For example, electrical boxes were buried in the wall with new sheetrock, poor cutouts surrounding electrical boxes causing additional work along with horrible spackle work. Work site was left daily a total mess with spackle all over the place. On 12/07/17, I spoke to Joe about the poor workmanship and was told that he would stop by the following day to inspect the work. Not only did he fail to show up for the inspection he never even contacted me until the last week of December when I attempted to leave a negative review on his company website. Of course, my negative review was blocked and was never posted to his website. Like many contractors that receive negative reviews I'm sure Joe would defend himself by saying "I offered to correct the issue". In my case, to little, to late. He started the job knowing full well that he was to busy on other jobs. He started the job then disappeared for weeks. He was aware of the ongoing issues but chose to ignore the issues until I resorted to a negative online review. Consumers beware that any work performed by a contractor in the State of New Jersey that exceeds $500.00 requires a written contract as per the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs. Don't make the same mistake I did.

joe is a personable guy and in short order had our complete trust. e had started a breadboard project in the laundry room and he wrapped that up while we finished tile selection for the bathroom. hen he did a great job opening completely renovating our master bathroom. We plan on having him back in the near future to do another bathroom for us. No reservations at all about leaving him a key to get in and out during the day, but he made it a point to get over to the house before we left for the day to tell us what he would be working on that day. Never a question that he had it under control.

They have also done work for my friend and that's how I hired them. They did a beautiful job. They showed up on time and cleaned up after they were done.
