This is a family business. . We used them after my son-in-law recommended them. They were professional, courteous, efficient and reasonably priced.

We recently moved into a new home and did not want to use the fireplace without first having it inspected (the home is 26 years old and the previous owners did not provide any details on the condition of the fireplace and chimney). I found Dand W on Angie's list and gave them a call at the end of March to inquire about services and pricing. They were incredibly professional and friendly, and right from the beginning I trusted that they would do a good job and steer me in the right direction. It is a family-owned business and it is very obvious that they care about their customers!
The owner (Walt) and his son came out to the house later that week to inspect the chimney. They called beforehand and were very punctual. The chimney was fine, but they recommended installing a chimney cap, removing the old antenna from our chimney, and let us know that our fireplace door was not functioning properly. They were very honest and said that the chimney cap was a must, but the door we could get away with not replacing for awhile. We decided to go ahead with the chimney cap and they invited us to the shop to take a look at doors (they recommended a few discontinued doors that they could get us for a discounted price, since we are on a budget). Walt decided not to charge us for that first service call since they did not have the proper sized chimney cap in the truck. He said he would come back the second time to install the cap (and a door if we found one we liked) and that he would only charge us for the one service call.
So, about a week later we went to the shop to look at doors -- they already had the measurements recorded in our file. They spent a great deal of time talking options over with us (best quality for our price range, advantages of certain materials and designs, etc.) and were extremely accommodating of our schedule for the install date. Install of cap and door and removall of antenna went smoothly.
Like I said -- this is a WONDERFUL and PROFESSIONAL family-owned and operated business that you can trust. I highly recommend them!

The owner provided an onsite inspection with an estimate. Dand W arrived as scheduled, setup their scaffolding and completed all work in an effective fashion to include a detailed cleanup. No sub-contractor involved. The owner remained onsite and worked with his son throughout the project. Excellent work - not rushed (approximately 2 days) and the quality of the workmanship showed.
