Nick was very personable and prices were comparable to our other estimates. Ask about his crew...if they've been with him a few years now then I'd say he's worth a second look. Problems for us began at end of construction. This is almost 6 years ago (2005) so I'd hope things have been rectified with his crew. BUT I still would recommend anyone keeping a close eye on progress and not allow them to install or fix existing skylights under any circumstance. I'm marking "quality" as fair because most of their work was "good" but roof was "lousy". His price was "good", but his crew was not the same guys each week, which probably is the biggest reason quality went down because his employees aren't accountable for their work. 1. Tyvek not applied to entire outside walls. Found one wall with top 2 feet bare under the bug board. Faxed photos to Nick and he never responded. I have these photos still and this has never been rectified. I can only hope the other walls are fully covered; we have not checked them thoroughly yet. 2. Three out of four skylights leaked from the get go, and today as it's raining I have 1 dripping. Nick did respond to our calls for help about leaking at the beginning, and he had his crew re-do the shingles around two of them twice, but still we had leaks. Problem is intermittent. As it's not resolved we are contracting with another business to re-do the roof from scratch. 3. Roof issues - found Nick's crew had set the shingles from a high peak to match low peak incorrectly. The low peak shingles go over the high peak, instead of the high peak's overlapping the low. Water flows down the high peak and then in a hard rain it goes right into the house, dripping through our kitchen ceiling. 4. Header had uneven brackets. We had two headers installed to remove part of two walls - Nick's crew installed the header but we were doing the drywall ourselves. When we went to do that, my husband had to re-screw in most of the brackets as they were each a different level (and some not even straight) until the drywall could be put up evenly without cracking.
Description of Work: Large addition, included garage and living room above, plus roof and siding over new and existing home.
