We came across Mighty Oak Construction through Lumber Liquidators. Edson came by and gave us estimates for multiple scenarios before we chose the laminate flooring. He was extremely knowledgeable. Mighty Oak gave us a checklist of all the supplies necessary from Lumber Liquidators. When we got all the supplies, an appointment for installation was quickly made. Now our home is drastically improved.

Glen was very knowledgeable, answered all our questions and made some good suggestions as well (like window-boxing around the fireplace hearth).  His team was fast and efficient, installing about 1000 square feet in less than 2 days. The place looks great, especially what they did on our stairs.  Before starting he showed us some pictures of a previous job he did where they put the hardwood on the riser as well as the tread.  We liked the pictures, and we love how ours came out.  We would definitely use him again.

The office and paperwork was clear, accurate and timely. The people were friendly and professional. The installers worked quickly and left the place clean.

It went fine.  They came as scheduled, did the work as requested and didn't leave a mess.  Two years prior to the repair I used them actually to install the floor.  I paid nothing because the floor board was popping so they just came and replaced it for me.  It was just pro-Bono.  I would recommend them.

I bought the floors somewhere else and Mighty Oak installed them. When I bought the flooring they didn’t have the molding.  When I called Mighty Oak on Friday to have it installed, they said they could install it on Monday but I had to have all the materials.  I ended up going to Yonkers to get the trim work.  He did a beautiful job.  He was the hardest, fastest working guy I have seen in my entire life.  I called the company and gave him an A+ rating.  He did 315 square feet in less than six hours.  He was without a doubt the most efficient, polite worker.  I had no problems at all.  I didn’t get any other prices because they work for the company where I bought the floors.  I needed to get it done and I needed it done quickly.  I thought the price was reasonable.

Glenn was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the different options for our floors (eg. engineered wood, different species, bamboo, construction quality).  He came out to our house numerous times and brought many samples for us to look at.  He and his staff were very responsive to our questions. 
I would highly recommend having Glenn and Mighty Oak Construction talk with you on your next hardwood floor job.

Their estimate was about $500 less than other company.
I needed it to be done ASAP and they were so nice that they rearrange their schedule and did in such a short notice.Mighty Oak's coordination by their office staff, actual technicians, and Glen was very smooth and speedy.
Documents were all sent by attached PDF to e-mail. I love this paperless, speedy, and accurate communication.
The first crew cut out the effected area, which is about the size of a copy paper. Next crew buffed the rest of floor and applied polyurethane. 

Installed hardwood flooring (material bought from Lumber Liquidator); Personnel assisted personally in selecting the right kind of wood and it matches the existing floor seemlessly; Installation completed in scheduled time; Site cleared up and furniture moved back professionally; Great quality and prompt service; Paperwork and communication done via email and were done professionally. The associate coming out for estimate and subsequently supervised the whole installation is very honest person and seems to be caring about the project personally.

The original floor had been damaged by moisture from the concrete slab over the years. It was poorly installed by the builder originally because the vapor barrier turned out to not cover the entire area, even though the materials and flooring were of very good quality. The estimator / installer at Mighty Oak went through the pros and cons of various options and helped me select the best flooring material, given my situation. Their prices were reasonable, so I made arrangements with their office, who were also quite prompt, helpful and accomodating. The estimator and another installer arrived on time and got right to work. They even helped me move a few pieces of furniture that weren't supposed to be there. I watched the entire installation and was impressed not only by their overall quality of work, but also by their attention to detail. They reviewed every board for imperfections and color before placing it and found a few I had missed. There were a few tricky corners and transitions that they spent extra time to get just right, where most (myself included) would have settled for the quick, first-try solution that looked just OK. After installation, they swept and cleaned the entire floor and discussed its maintenance with me. Upon final invoicing, there were zero hidden charges or extras to deal with. I can't think of a single thing to complain about in the installation. Moreover, they had done an even better job that I expected.

The project was subcontracted to a company working out of Union. The 3 workers arrived late, and the ?boss? was either hung-over or had some other issues. They immediately wanted to change the contract (not remove the tile) and I had to call the office to complain, so the ?boss? was mad and he left the job, and then the other two were on their cell phones complaining about him leaving the job for about an hour. They also took almost a two-hour lunch. The other two workers finally finished at 10PM, leaving a huge mess for us to clean up. Glen never showed up on-site to check on the job, but after multiple phone calls showed up a week later in a very intimidating manner, threatening to put a lien on our house ? even though we have not gotten a final bill yet. We still have a horrible glue smell in the house even with windows open, and there is dust everywhere. We would never hire Glen again and would never recommend Mighty Oak to anyone.

I was extremely pleased with the workers, who assisted in moving furniture out of the rooms to be completed. Cooperated thoroughly with my requests that certain rooms be worked on first and accommodated any requests that I made. The workers were excellent in matching the old floors to the new floors and staining the new area to match the old areas. Never having refinished floors before, it did not occur to me that I needed to move out for a few days due to the smell or that I would need to relocate the pets. I assumed the pets would be smart enough to stay away from the smelly floors. The workers were very patient with us as we moved out and searched for the cats so we could take them to the kennel for a day or two.
