We highly recommend First Source Contracting. Keith services all of our heating and cooling needs. Our relationship started with an annual check of our heating system and air conditioning. He is professional, very knowledgeable and always goes above and beyond with all his work, so when we discovered that our radiant heat system was leaking, it was only natural that we would call Keith. Keith showed up the same day and repaired it quickly and efficiently. In addition to fixing the problem, he actually was able to explain to me (in layman's terms) what was wrong and why it happened. I also got the impression that he is not the type to do unnecessary repairs. Nice guy and very knowledgeable.

We had a little hiccup nailing down Keith for the start date that would work for both of us, but once that was accomplished, everything went very smoothly. Keith did exactly what the contract stated. He was extremely punctual, knowledgeable, clean, very careful with my premises, and professional. I wanted to use both A/C and heat before I put in my review. The A/C worked very well over the Summer and the heating season is just starting, but so far is also working very efficiently. I would highly recommend First Source Contracting to do an excellent job.
I only have one caveat: Find your own electrician for the electrical work. The electrician that Keith partner's with, was very clean, friendly, and had some excellent ideas, but there were two items that were either not up to code or needed adjustment, and he wouldn't correct them unless I paid for his extra time, which I wouldn't do. The little extra effort would have gone a long way, and would have been worth his while.

Professional service was provided and the repairs were made to my complete satisfaction to eliminate the wasteful dripping of the faucets which could not be controlled because of corroded shutoff valves.

A few weeks prior, Keith was out to get the upstairs heating unit running. Turns out the flame rod sensor was very dirty and convincing the unit not to turn on. He fixed it an all was fine. Turns out, because of the previously starting and stopping of the unit (related to the flame rod sensor), the piece that actually produces the flame for the sensor broke. After one night of misery, I contacted Keith who showed up on very short notice that evening. Was replaced in no time and heat once again fills our upstairs. Might seem like a small deal, but the prompt response that we get when we call can't be measured in dollars and cents, and the overall professionalism he displays is second to none. Not that I want to see him any time soon, but if something else needs fixing, I know that we will receive the highest quality experience with efficiency.

The day before, Keith came out to determine the reason for the heating unit failure, and determined that it was a faulty gas valve. The following day, he came out and replaced the valve, solving the problem. We also had some issues and questions regarding heating inconsistencies with the other unit, and he was kind enough to check out the entire house and provide some insights. He was professional, efficient and straightforward. At no point did I think he didn't know what he was doing or that he was trying to increase the severity merely to get more money. In fact, I would say that he went out of his way to provide a solution to the immediate problem, without even hinting at suggesting superfluous fixes. I would use First Source again in a heartbeat, and would certainly recommend their services.

Keith did a superb job of measuring the area to be serviced by the new system and sizing the installation for the most efficient results. He determined using his skills and technical tools, that the return air supply ducts had been providing inadequate air volume for our old heating/cooling system. He corrected for this deficiency in a cost effective manner and has provided us with a new system that is more efficient and more economical to operate than the old one. Last winter the rooms serviced by the system were more comfortable at lower cost than before. First Source Contracting also submitted the required paperwork for us to receive the energy rebates that were in force at the time of the installation. Keith is a meticulous worker and he left the work area cleaner than he found it. I highly recommend his work and will use his services again.
