We contracted with WA well in advance of the projected start date, we did this to assure the date we wanted and a smooth lifting and construction process. This was to be our final step in the rebuilding process that we have been dealing with since Hurricane Sandy destroyed our home on 10/29/12. The relationship was going good until Oct 7th, the agreed upon lifting date, we set when I sent the deposit back in July. a day before the 7th, I get the call that they cant make it, and he will let me know. 10 days later he shows up and looks under the house and says it not cleaned out enough and wont be back for a while. I told him he better be here in the morning. I cleaned out the cellar and they were back in the am. the lifting went well, about 8 hours later, he asked for the balance of his money. I thought this was odd because the job isn't done till the house is back down on the new foundation? I reread the contract and found that it's stated in their that payment in full is required when lift is up in the air. Had I read this better, I never would have signed the contract, and probably would have gone with another contractor. Now 2 1/2 weeks later its time to come back and lower the house unto the new foundation. Emails, text's, and phone calls go unanswered day after day. I wanted a two day notice of when he would be their so I could have my GC their to install some final beams under the house because of a "miss-understanding" during our pre lift contractor meeting. Anyway, it took three weeks for them to finally come back and lower the house. Now, as a result of this I have 3 other contractors delayed three weeks in their schedule's and now they are working in freezing temperature's to get their work done. We are also delayed getting back in our home and are forced to pay additional rent at the apartment we have rented. I would never recommend this company. very poor customer relations and communications!!!

Response from W.A. Building Movers & Contractors Inc.
Unfortunately this review is highly one-sided. We did an on-site meeting to cover the expected prep work prior to the home being raised. Regardless when we arrived such work was not completed. We took on the work at our own expense and then continued to raise the home. The homeowner called us to come back and lower the home. The home was not ready and would not lower properly. We sent the homeowner the information necessary to complete the needed work for this home to be lowered properly. He then called us again to tell us the home is ready. Again when we arrived it was not ready and we again had to leave. We operate heavy machinery and to bring this equipment to site is not easy and is costly. I personally had to go to the jobsite six times including keeping my crew on a nearby job site for an entire day in hope that we could get this home lowered. Regardless my attempts to get the homeowner and GC to do the required work as specified in contract and also by sending emails of the work intended it took until my 7th trip there for the home to be ready and for us to be able to bring a crew in to properly lower the home. It's unfortunate to see it written that we delayed them when we expended a gross amount and time and energy to complete this work that should have been possible the first time we arrived back at this home.
