Great!

Showed up when he was going to.   Project took a bit longer than expected as he encountered some "surprises" (not pleasant ones, either) that had to be addressed.   He had another project scheduled to start right after mine, but managed to juggle his calendar (and I suspect gave up some sleep) to get my project finished.   

Very neat and conciencious. 

While not the cheapest estimate I received, I feel he made extra effort to complete the work as close to original time quoted (event though he found some "issues" once getting inside the walls; and I feel I am saving money in the long term with him doing the job right the first time.

I like that he assumes you don't know a whole lot about electrical stuff, so he doesn't talk to you in lingo/jargo. 

He also helped set priorities, in terms of "must tackle now as it's a matter of health/safety", then "things you might want to tackle in the short term"- next month or so; and "would be nice/convenient"- after you've been in the house a year.

We used to use these guys for a few years in a house we rented.  The agent paid and so they came.  
When we bought our house we thought we had a good enough relationship to keep them on and so I tried to keep them on.  I kept calling and asking Dean to come and fix many sockets and put in new ones and lights too.  He called back once and said he'd get back to me.  I called atleast 4 times before I decided to drop it.

apparently they are overwhelmed with work and can't be bothered to call back.

I haven't used them in years, but I referred them to somebody recently, and the guy was happy. They were very helpful and friendly. They let me do what I wanted to do while still being very guiding and helpful.

They did an excellent and thorough job, from the estimate on through. This was a bear of a job, requiring them to run wiring through all of the walls and ceilings in the house. Barry was very flexible with us throughout. We had just purchased the house, and as the job progressed, we made additions and changes as we realized that we wanted certain types of lighting, outlets in different places, to change out some of the kitchen appliances, etc. Barry was enthusiastic in helping us with this and made some excellent suggestions himself. He also communicated well throughout, being careful to make sure he understood exactly where we wanted every outlet and fixture placed. We were on a tight timetable, and they started on time, arrived every morning when they said they would, and finished on schedule.

A few weeks prior to the work, Barry came out to the house to assess the project and provide an estimate. This took about a half-hour, and he gave me a complete written estimate on the spot. We scheduled the work a few days later by phone. He called the night before the visit to confirm, and arrived on time to do the work. He and his assistant worked on all the various parts of the job very smoothly. Whenever there was something to discuss Barry pulled me in to make sure they were going to do exactly what I wanted. For example, when installing the outdoor side light, Barry discussed the exact positioning with me before getting started. Similarly with capping and rewiring the boxes in the bedrooms, he asked my opinion when he noticed some problems and made recommendations on how to handle them. All the installations were done really well, bedroom lights perfectly centered - the guys were very careful not to dirty the light shades, which was something i probably wouldn't have even considered. Every time I get Barry to help with something he always does a great job, the right way without cutting corners, and pays attention to the details. He's a real craftsman who really makes you happy with what he does no matter how big or small the project. I can't recommend him highly enough.

His rates are fairly reasonable. The work that he does is good. I am satisfied with the services he has provided over the years. I will continue to use him.
