All State Fence Inc

They installed a vinyl fence for me about 3 1/2 years ago. Initially I had no problems. However immediately after install most of the caps from the posts blew off into our neighbors yard. I think they probably should have been glued down. We found most of them. After that the gate started to not function right. We tried fixing it and dealing with it but it just got worse. It got to the point where we could barely use the gate. I called the company in April to come out and look at it. The guy came out and said 3 out of the 4 rafters were broken and he would order the gate. It would take about 2 weeks and they would get back to me. He never gave me a price or paperwork, so I figured it was under warranty. After 3 weeks I never heard from them so I called. The guy in the office john and Chris said no paperwork was filed and they would look into it and call me back. They never did. I called again, same thing. I even told them I wasn't looking for it to be free, I just wanted it fixed. Still no one calls back. This has gone on for several weeks now. Still no one has any answers for me or even returns my call. Horrible service. I even told them to just send someone back out and start over. Nope they don't want to do that either. Don't use this company.


UPDATE: after writing to them on Facebook, someone finally replied to me and came out and installed a new gate. It works great and am happy that it is done.

After an initial hiccup I am pleased with the overall service here. We lost a number of sections of our old wooden fencing due to wind damage from Superstorm Sandy. We initially had a lot of trouble trying to get any fence company to come to give us an estimate but we did understand that almost all contractors in our area were overwhelmed with Sandy related work. We had one bad experience with another fence company before finally getting a recommendation to try All State. Once we contacted All State we received a visit from the same person in a timely manner. A reasonable estimate was received including a number of cost options based on materials. We chose the PVC, submitted the paperwork and deposit and booked the job.
It was at this point that we had the problem. The worker arrived on the scheduled date to install the fencing. However they arrived with a completely wrong order! They had wooden fence instead of the PVC we ordered and not enough to cover the needed length of fence! After a number of phone calls it was apparent that a mistake had been made in the paperwork and the workers had to leave. To the credit of All State their service recovery was superb. The workers who arrived that day were very polite and professional. We received a call from the All State office to immediately have a estimator come to the house the very next day to review the job and figure out what went wrong. He arrived the next day, reviewed our paperwork and was able to identify what went wrong. The confusion must have been based on the multiple estimated provided. Stuff happens!
All State was able to return within two weeks with the proper materials. The fencing was installed quickly and professionally. It was exactly as ordered. The materials were very good and the installation was excellent. I would definitely recommend them again and I plan to use them when I replace the rest of my fencing next summer. This time I will make certain that the paperwork is correct!
Note: The person who came out to do the second estimate was the same person who had come out to do an estimate for Lowes months earlier. Apparently multiple companies must use the same persons to for sales and estimates. This may be part of the reason for the initial miscommunication. Always check you paperwork!

We found them on Angie's List. We liked that they came out here and did the exact measurements as well as checked everything out before getting us an estimate. Some of these places would only do a phone quote and wouldn't take into account some of the places where we had trees and things. We didn't suggest that but they came out and did that for free. They were pretty nice. Their price seems to be very competitive.

After initial telephone contact, it took the vendor's estimator two weeks to be scheduled with visit. I received the estimated price right away in early April. I also need to put 10% down payment before they could schedule the work. However, it took about two and a half months before they showed up for the repair work because there were confusions with their procedures as to scheduling the repair. I first emailed my request for the repair but no reply for about 10 days so I called and they said someone will return my call. Still no reply! Called again and then spoke to the scheduler and he said he'll call me back after he locates my paperwork. Still no reply! I finally made a visit to the office, paid the 10%, and received the repair date. It was frustrating with the unnecessary delays because I was in the process of selling the home. They are expensive! I suspect they know that they did the work earlier and knowing I would not go elsewhere for the repair in order to stay consistent.

I lost part of my fence during Sandy. I called numerous fence companies and they came and gave me an estimate. I chose them not only on price but the person that came out to give me the estimate was very professional and made me feel very comfortable and confident that they would do a good job. The day they came out to make the repair they worked very quickly, did all their clean up and did a really great job, i was very pleased and will be using them in the future to replace the rest of my fence.

One employee came out and gave an estimate. We paid 1/3 of the price down and rest at completion. One employee came out as scheduled and fixed the fence. The job was done as promised. He was professional, courteous and prompt.

From the moment I called for an estinmate they were responsive and punctual. Johnnies Team showed up in the morning and went right to work. They were professional, clean and quiet. They removed all of the old fence and left at the end of the day with no issues and a new fence that looks great. I already told Johnnie that I plan on calling him back next year to complete the job and replace the remainder of the fence on the back of my property.I Highly recommend this company!!

They are very good and did a good job. They did exactly what we had asked them to do. They also followed through. I had some different types of things that I wanted them to do and they did a good job on them. I think that I paid them a little more than I might have if I had looked around. I would definitely recommend them to others.
