Scott Flammer

Scott was able to diagnose a problem where another company had made a repair to our furnace and forgot to recalibrate the fuel flow. He saved us from buying a new furnace, about $4800!!!

Bad. He made a diagnosis on 8/19/18. I found a much better price to replace the a/c unit from a reputable a/c contractor. Flammer never presented or mailed an invoice. Today, 12/20/18 I got an email from the tenant in the building stating that Flammer came to her dental office and in a loud and rude manner at the reception desk stated the bill was never paid after many email contacts. His statements are complete lies. When I hired Flammer, through Angies List ratings, I gave him my contact information. He is nasty, rude and obviously does not tell the truth and probably has a very bad book keeping system. I would never use him again.

Short version: A+++!!! Scott is top-notch in every way! Very responsive, keeps his word, honest, reasonable, fast, excellent quality. From now on he's my guy for any HVAC work I may need. Full story - June 2016 - my 20+ year AC unit stops working in the middle of the first major heat wave of the summer. I got quotes of $9,500 and "easily over $10,000" from 2 contractors recommending a complete replacement of the entire system to upgrade to a new environmentally-friendly refrigerant. I was freaking out when my next door neighbor recommended Scott. I called him and he told me that he could replace just the failed condenser, upgrade to a new refrigerant that was a direct replacement for the old which meant that the air handler would not need replacement, and would arrive first thing the following morning to install it. Quoted price was $4,300. Awesome. No contract, no deposit, no nothing. He trusted me. Next morning there he was with his assistant bright and early with my new unit, just like he promised. By noon time I was back in business. Workmanship was flawless. They even cleaned the concrete under the old unit. Scott misjudged the length of the lines inside the house, and needed more refrigerant than he thought. This meant higher cost for the repair, but he did not charge me. He said "My mistake. I quoted $4,300 and I will honor that. You shouldn't have to pay extra due to my error.". When was the last time any of us heard that?? This guy is great! Fast, excellent workmanship, reasonable pricing, considerate and responsive, customer focused. I was really impressed and in fact we created a Recommended Contractor section in our Townhouse Association newsletter, and Scott Flammer is the first recommendation we made.

Went very well, was here about an hour and he had 2 helpers with him. I just feel he was well overpriced. Lowes price to install a water softener, same model number Whirlpool unit for 597.00. I will not use him again.
