Absolutely Terrible quality work. Rob wanted to vent the bathroom exhaust fan directly in to the raw sewage line, the framing was so off that it had to be entirely redone. The walls are not level, the windows are not symmetrical. With the insulation, he kept moving the same 3 pieces of insulation in the ceiling to the area visible from the floor...i.e. he'd put a section of drywall up, move the insulation to the edge so it was visible, remove it, place another section of drywall then move the insulation down. The only way to tell the area wasn't actually being insulated was to climb a ladder and look over the ceiling. And this is just the beginning. The holes cut in the drywall for lights, outlets and such were so poorly cut that every one of them had to have a massive amount of spackle, then be sanded or the drywall sections redone. He used staples to hold the drywall corner beads so, had they not been ripped out, they would have rusted and required removal and repainting.... He claimed to be a plumber. However, the first question out of every plumbers mouth that I showed his work to was "who, did this?" Followed by "Wow, this is terrible, this isn't to code." His solder work on the water pipes was so terrible it had to be pulled out and completely redone. He even managed to take a water line and bend it around a truss rather than cut the connecting pipes to the correct length. I eventually had to fire him and am in the process of removing and redoing nearly the entirety of the work he performed. He constantly asked for more money throughout the job. He wanted a huge deposit, then constantly asked for more money before meeting the goals and payment milestones outlined in the contract. He claimed to be a registered contractor in Pennsylvania, which his is not. He insisted on charing tax on tax exempt work. Here's the sad part. When I finally got fed up with his poor quality work and inability to pass basic inspections and terminated the contract, he decided that literally walking by and tearing out and uprooting my landscaping was the answer... Every single time they finished work I had to go over it and look for things that were not done right, or would potentially caused a massive amount of damage later on had it not been corrected. Buyer be very aware. This guy is a total scammer and is in no way a contractor to be considered. My basement is nearly going to cost double the higher end of quotes I got before hiring Stippco, Simply because contractors now have to remove the work he did in order to do it properly.
