They come about seven or eight times a year; it depends upon what kind of treatment it is. There are six fertilizer treatments and there are several weed and pest control treatments. They are not too good at responding to calls. I have been using them for several years.
I was home all morning that day and did not see the technician applying product to my lawn. When I left the house in the afternoon I saw the small signs out front and the billon my door knob. that was the only indication that anything has been done to my lawn. The description of services for that day indicated that granular producet may placed on my grass. I saw no a single granule anywhere. I was either the recipient of the neatest application ever performed or very little product was actually placed on the lawn. In my efforts to determine what happened I reached out to Scott's and eventually connected to the technician who performed the service that day. I will not go into detail here as to the content of that conversation but I hung up very dissatisfied with his explanation and the service. I called the company to cancel the remaining services scheduled. I would not recommend this company in the future as I was very dissatisfied with their performance.
I contacted Scotts via their website for a "Free Lawn Analysis" which is described as:
"Not ready to start service? Begin with a Free Analysis and see what Scotts LawnService can do for your lawn. To request your free analysis, just check out with the Free Lawn Analysis in your shopping cart. We'll analyze your lawn and provide a detailed report of your lawn's strengths and challenges."
I also requested quotes for lawn and tree/shrub services. Their technician visited us, and spent 10 minutes looking around before giving a written quote. We did not sign up with them. Today they left a voicemail thanking us for signing on with them and that if we wish to cancel the service, we should call them back. When I called, I was told that I have reached the sales department and I should contact the local office in Wayne to "cancel" the service (which I never ordered in the first place).
Update: My wife called them and they have agreed to not initiate our service.
"Hi member, I thought the General Manager was in touch with you yesterday and this was worked out. Please let me know if there is still an outstanding concern. Amanda Cordell Scotts LawnService"
