Tac Home Remodeling

Hired this company to install windows, interior doors, build a portico and complete a bathroom remodel in early 2020/21. The initial job was okay, but only after multiple repairs. They have apprentices that don't do the best work and many issues needed to be fixed due to poor workmanship. They returned to fix issues from doors being installed crooked, holes being drilled in the wrong place in a brand new vanity and most recently, new construction window installation which included moulding that was cut incorrectly and didnt match up in the corners. They cut holes in the wood outside of our house and covered it with paper and siding. We were told there would be minimal touch-up from windows. Each window had one inch of space on two sides that needed spackling. They came back to fix, but never finished leaving us with over $1,000 in repair costs. One of the owners said he told his brother that he shouldn't have tried to fix at all. No one responds to finish the job. Would not recommend.

Appointment set up to review project as we are doing several renovations on our home. Phil came out and was very pleasant, reviewed all my optional scenarios and gave me quote same day. As we were in bidding phase, I had to reach out again later and he was still very pleasant and I am hoping to do business with TAC based on the customer service shown thus far. You often buy the salesman experience before the product.

From the first call and first visit, Jim the sales representative was honest, fair and very supportive of our needs. The pricing was extremely reasonable for the project. Within 24 hours, Jim was back with one of the owners to review the project and take measurements. The custom windows were built within the timeline outlined and the communication was very clear surrounding the timeline. The installation was performed by another one of the owners and his team. They were very efficient and professional in every way. Jim even came by the next day to help us with a question about functionality of the window. Overall, TAC Home Remodeling significantly exceeded my expectations in every way which is why I gave them straight A's in my rating. I would highly recommend this honest, fair and professional company for home projects.

How did it go? It didn't. After speaking with one of their representatives who gave me a quote and told he would call the following day to set up an appointment, I was told that I was too far away for such a "small" job even though I'm located in their catchment area of Hudson County. I wouldn't hire this company now even if I did have a larger job. Who knows, if they came, they may have even been able to sell me storms for our other floors..

Tac was very professional and prompt giving us exactly the service promised in the given time frame. They even went out of their way to make other repairs that weren't expected nor part of the quote. I'd highly recommend them.

Work not done yet, however we have already left a deposit and product is on order.
No gimmicks at 1st appointment, no harassing call backs.  Solid presentation of work to be done, and estimate was lower than two other contractors.  Explained why the highest priced Okna windows were not for us, so definitely not trying to upsell  
Just feel more comfortable with TAC than the "Big Box" window replacement companies.

They are excellent in all respects.  They are the most professional group I've ever worked with.  Their quality and their timely fashion stood out.  They had excellent communication.  Their pricing is fair and well worth the price.

We are very pleased with the work done by TAC. Dave described clearly what the work involved, returned our calls promptly and answered all our questions.  The workers were polite and at the end of each day cleaned up around the house leaving no debris on the ground.  The new siding and trim looks great.
