Eddie's Auto Repair

Took in my 2003 car for a tune up because I was leaving the following week on a long road trip. I had the oil & air filter changed the day before and told Eddie, the owner, that was something they did not need to worry about. All they needed to do was change 6 spark plugs, put in new plug wires and check the timing. When I phone later that day to check progress, I was told the car was ready but the man on the phone could not tell me the total. I walked to pick up the car and Eddie the owner was not there. None of his crew could find a written bill, so they called Eddie. I am then told the bill was $450.00! I ask to see the old plugs, wires and anything else they replaced. All they showed me was an oil pan gasket. They had changed my oil when I specifically told them not to. I write a check and ask for a receipt. "Only Eddie can write the receipt and he'll be back in 1 hour." I leave the check, go run an hour's worth of errands and come back. Still no Eddie and no receipt. Next day, same thing. DO NOT take your car to Eddie's Auto Repair in Little Falls, NJ. After all their nonsense, my car runs rough. And, except for my cancelled check, I have no receipt of service!
