It was a really bad experience. The work was really, really shoddy. He wasn't supervising his workers, so we had a discussion about it. I pointed out the issues and said that there couldn't be the same issues when they did the bathroom. Next thing you know, there were all sorts of problems with the bathroom. It got to the point where I had to kick him off the job and withhold the last payment. He tried to fix it and apologize, but the work was just as bad. The walls in my shower were so bumpy that the tiles weren't lying flat. Nothing was level. The floors, walls, and ceiling were all unlevel. Nobody used a level. The shower fixtures had to be removed three times because they weren't centered. The electrical box was too deep for the wall. Everything they did had to be done over. It was a mess.
