He was much cheaper than the other quotes that I got, and when I talked to other people they said he was very good, and we had to wait a little bit for him to get us on his books but other people we knew said we're going to have to wait longer. They were very clean, he did exactly what he said he was going to do in the amount of time that he said he's going to do, he was very good. We were very happy with him. He also gave me a discount because one of the rooms that we were doing, after he sanded it he told me it wasn't the same kind of wood and nothing that he was going to do was going to get it to the condition that I wanted it to be in so he just sealed it and told me we should really should just put a log over that and don't try to make it anything more than it is. I thought that it was great that he was that upfront about it. The work turned out excellent. Everybody who comes and looks at it says it looks beautiful, he did a great job. I would use them in the future and I would recommend them to anybody.

Daniel came over, gave me an estimate and we hired him to do one of our floors. The whole process was done over the course of one week. Sanded and stained in two days, then returned for the following three business day, (a weekend in between) to apply the coats of poly. We plan on hiring him for two more floors so that should tell you more than my review. The smell was powerful so don't plan on staying in the house. It lingered for weeks so I would probably wait until you can open all your windows.

Mr. McCormick was recommended to me at Taylor Rental in Washington, NJ, when I was still contemplating refinishing the floors in my house in Belvidere, NJ, myself. I am glad I called Mr. McCormick, as working with him and his crew turned out a most positive experience. He is very knowledgeable, and it was no surprise to hear that he is a third generation flooring craftsman - both his father and grandfather were carpenters specialized in flooring. He sanded the oak and fir floors in my 1943 home on a Friday (producing three garbage bags of saw-dust without making a mess of the house), stained them next Monday, and applied three layers of finish on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Mr. McCormick was very helpful in choosing the right stain, and very punctual throughout the process from the estimate to the last day of work. The floors look fabulous. I wholeheartedly recommend Mr. McCormick.
