I can’t say enough great things about this company! We unfortunately lost heat late Saturday night into Sunday and woke up to a very cold home. In a panic we called Tom Rostron Company and they were extremely helpful from start to finish. As we explained our situation, we realized that our 30-year-old boiler has seen better days and that it would be more cost effective to replace the system rather than sink money into an already failing system. They immediately sent someone out ON A SUNDAY to confirm our suspicions and they promptly provided us our options. They explained in detail the different efficiencies of the types of boilers that are available, and the benefits and costs associated with each. I felt very confident that we were choosing the right investment for our home. Being that this was an emergency situation – no heat at the end of January – they brought space heaters to our home to help us be more comfortable. This company is so amazing that they were able to secure the equipment and get us on the schedule the very next day! Thanks to Tom Rostron Company we were able to have a brand-new heating system replaced 24 hours after we called them! If that is not customer service, I don’t know what is! The morning of the install we received a phone call letting us know that the installers were in route and the estimated time of arrival. The guys that showed up were extremely polite and professional. The installer, Lou and his helper, began by explaining what they would be doing and got right to work. The owner, Tom Rostron even stopped over our home to ensure that everything was going according to plan and that we were satisfied. I am confident by saying that they left our basement looking better than they had found out. I am so impressed by this company that we plan to set up a maintenance agreement with them and explore our options for AC replacement in the Spring. I don’t think I could ever put as much faith and trust in an HVAC as I do for Tom Rostron Company. Thank you again for a quick turn around and providing our family comfort.

The repairman showed up with the mask on under his nose. I had to ask him to pull the mask up over his nose, which he did comply. He opened the front of my furnace, rubbed the dust off of the date of my furnace and informed me that it was old and I would need a new furnace. I asked him what he was basing it on, since he hadn’t even looked inside the furnace yet. He looked inside and then said it was dirty and old and I needed a new furnace. I asked him if he could look at why the pilot was out and he repeated that I needed a new furnace. Quite frankly, my thought was that he thought I was an old lady who would do whatever he told me. He was very dismissive. I asked him to leave. I later had another company over to replace the thermocouple and the furnace is working. That company thought the furnace would at least make it through the winter and would come over to check it next year.

We decided to join their maintenance program which ensures that our furnace is examined yearly, given proper maintenance, and also gives a discount and priority on services. Our technician was punctual and informative. He took his time to be thorough. We feel good about this company.

Recently converted from oil to natural gas which required a new furnace and hot water heater. After getting several estimates, we elected to go with Tom Rostron. Everyone we dealt with was helpful and responsive to our questions and concerns. We were especially happy with Shawn and Kyle who did the installation. They were very professional and friendly. They kept us apprised throughout the entire process, cleaned up each day and explained how the new units operated and things we should be aware of. We can’t say enough about how pleased we were with their work and that of the entire team at Tom Rostron.

The service was done exactly as promised and very professionally. Everyone involved was very knowledgeable, and everything was fully explained. Service was excellent. Steve kept me informed of his arrival time and accommodated my schedule. He was very knowledgeable, professional and courteous. We hired Tom Rostron Co. to replace our three aging HVAC units (furnace and A/C). From start to finish, they were professional and attentive to us as customers. The work seems to be of the highest quality - even our town plumbing inspector complimented the workmanship. The Rostron team - Tom, Tiffany, Sean, and Conner -- all were unfailingly helpful, courteous, and competent. We are very pleased.

They were very efficient and professional. They installed my system in record time. They had a cancellation and installed my system wihin 24 hours. From the initial salesman to the installation technician, they provided “Old-school” customer service.

Excellent. To begin with I spoke to a very knowledgeable and professional sales representative ( Bill Suer) who first performed a walk through and inspection of my existing HVAC system. I mentioned to him that I wanted a good reliable system but without all the bells and whistles some salesmen try to push on you, and one that would maintain the existing footprint both inside and outside. After hearing my requirements and evaluating what I needed he provided me two options which he priced out for me. A good system and a better system. Based on my review in Consumer Reports I elected to go with the better system "American Standard." I did get two additional bids but went with what I considered a best value. We met again to firm up the contract and to choose an install date. On 21 and 22 May the 2 installers came as agreed and did an excellent job on the installation. I could not have asked for a better job. From sales to installation to post evaluation of the work, the Rostron team was very efficient, professional, and technically capable. The work they did was excellent.

Out heater went out on Christmas day. We called Tom Rostron and within 30 minutes they were at my house diagnosing the problem. The furnace was reparied just in time for a cold snap.

Wonderful.!!!! I can't say enough about how nice and helpful they were. Only reason cost is B is because I had my service done on a Saturday and wasn't aware it costs more that day then during week. That could have been my mistake but I was so appreciative they helped me I would pay the same amount again. I would recommend them to family and friends. They've come twice for two separate reasons and both service gentlemen were so extremely nice and knowledgeable. Thank you to them all.

The installation went very well, the rep and installers were professionals. They worked clean and quickly with attention to detail. Works like Central AC without loosing the attic and basement.

Went well and we have a yearly service contract now.

He came out and we were without heat and they came out promptly. He diagnosed the problem with my furnace and corrected it on the spot. He tested the furnace thoroughly and sat down with my wife and I and told us where the furnace was in it’s life. What we were looking at as far as any repair that might be needed or the next thing that most likely next to cause problems, he looked up the priced for parts and as an alternative he made servals recommendations for a replacement furnace and explained the pros and cons. Basically, pricing was competitive and overall I was very happy with the service.  I got the basic information I needed.

Overall, the technicians that performed the work recieve an A.  They were on time every day, clean, friendly, worked efficiently, and even humored my kids running around their worksite.
The sales people however....
After my salesman got my check, it seemed like we didn't matter anymore.  After giving him the check for the permits, didnt hear from him for a while.  Called a MONTH later..."Sorry, didnt get a chance to drop your check off to the town."  After completion of the work and getting permits for final inspection,  waited 3 months and heard nothing.  Called the town to inquire..."We called your plumber 3 weeks ago, noone picked up the permits."
The insulation guy (outside contractor) cancelled his first appointment to do work (truck broke down, not Rostrons fault), but their work was hastily done and sloppy.  
The 2 pressure tests performed by Rostron were delayed/ rescheduled 3 times.  Twice 30 minutes before the appointment due to "emergencies."  Good thing I scheduled my day around it, as its not a quick test. 
Of the 3 inspections that must be performed: electrical, fire, and plumbing, 2 failed for seemingly routine things like labeling the wire and capping the pipes on the a/c condenser
I've read of 3 installations under the grant program that we used and they all magically came out to a hair over $15k, despite being very different systems.  Seems like an arbitrary number used to maximize profits... Oh, and annoyed the new furnace doesnt have an 'air' setting to simply circulate air...
