Absolute slob. Pretty sure he has no formal training in carpentry. Just one of these fly-by-nighters. I wouldn't trust him doing any of my work in the future and I certainly would not recommend him unless you want to totally get screwed. I think he would make a better sanitation worker but who knows?

In the beginning, I thought he would do a good job -- when he did work for my neighbor, he had a whole crew and the work went fast and was well done. When he started our job, he brought his very young son. So he came late every day (10am) and left early every day (3:30 - 4:00 pm). The project took forever and he created some huge problems -- for example, he incorrectly sized the fireplace and when the fireplace was delivered they had to cut open the brand new sheetrock to install it. When he installed the granite surround on the fireplace, he cracked the granite and refused to say that there was a crack in it! (I have pictures.) There are so many errors that we are still dealing with fixing them a year later. He was also a slob: for example he used our kitchen sink to clean up oil-based paint even though he knew we had a slop sink in the basement. He used our garage to store debris -- which we did not give him an okay to do -- and in effect scratched my husband's motorcycle. We were the butt of our neighbors' jokes -- regarding whether Perry would show up or not, how long things were taking, etc. We finally came to a mutual agreement with him to let him go and paid most of what was left on his bill.
Description of Work: He was hired to gut a den down to the studs and rebuild -- including adding new windows and a fireplace. He was also hired to build a deck and reside our house.
