Michael's Event Catering

It was better than I could have expected!

Excellent! This was our first catered event so we were nervous and on a budget but Michael was so easy to work with and walked us through the contract and how it all worked. Pricing was excellent and food presentation and taste was great. The staff at the event was excellent, everything was better than we could have expected. We highly recommend and will be using Michael's again in the future.

Everything was terrific and they were so nice and accommodating.

From the moment that I contacted Michael, to the second that he left my home, Michael was extremely professional.  My husband and I are very selective when choosing service providers and Michael's Event Catering exceeded both our expectations.  The food was delicious, the presentation was beautiful, and the professionalism was top notch.  Instead of having chafing dishes sit for hours during the event, Michael suggested that he freshly prepare and serve the food to ensure freshness; what a wonderful suggestion.  Sam, the server, was fantastic - she was very personable and ensured that food flowed to all of our guests seamlessly.  I will certainly use Michael's Event Catering again in the future and I highly recommend them to anyone who wants to take some of the stress out of the party planning.  Michael is great at what he does.      

I would give him 100% except for one basic problem. The main dish was supposed to be RARE roast beef. Although we even called a few days before Christmas to make sure it would be rare, and although we asked upon delivery if indeed it was rare, it came well- done, and no one could eat it. The problem was that was the main dish. Therefore, I needed to improvised by cooking a stuffed turkey.

It went very well. My guests raved about the food. It was delicious -- every item on the menu was excellent. The Roasted Stuffed Pork Tenderloin and the Chicken Francaise were wonderful. I was especially impressed that the Sautéed Seasonal Vegetables  were cooked perfectly and not overdone or soggy.

The servers were very cheerful and helpful. Set-up and clean-up were efficient. They provided all the tableware. Nothing was missing. They removed all the trash and left the area clean. They packaged the leftovers for us.

Michael was very pleasant to work with. His suggestions were very helpful in the planning process. I was able to enjoy the event more because I was confident that everything was under control.

This was our second event catered by Michael's Event Catering at our home in Wilmington, DE.  The event was work related and included key people within the organization.
We requested both passed and stationary Hors d'oeuvres, as well as a Carving Station and Bar Service.
Michael was responsive and on the mark from the beginning stages through execution of the event.  His staff is punctual, polite and professional in every way.
We highly recommend Michael, and I look forward to another event with him, potentially with new menu items.

This is a highly professional, reliable and excellent service. Michael and his assistant showed up on time, set up a tent, their grill and serving tables very promptly. My guests were thrilled with the service, the friendly upbeat server, the generous portions and the food taste. The caterers also maintained good food handling hygiene and the presentation was very good. Despite the sweltering heat and humidity, Michael maintained a very professional appearance and attitude. They were so self-sufficient and helpful that we really could focus on the event and mingling with our guests, without having to worry about the food component. They were very respectful of the property, picked up trash and left the area spotless. We were offered all leftover food. Michael and his assistant seemed genuinely eager to ensure our satisfaction. We will definitely call upon them again! Very highly recommended!

If I could give Michael an a+++ I would. He arrived early set up a beautiful buffet table. The food was excellent, the service was superb. He brought enough food to feed 10 more people. He cleaned up and took all the garbage with him. I would definitely use Michael again And highly recommend him.

Pre-Event:
Michael was extremely responsive to all my Emails prior to the event.  He was clear, accurate, reliable.
Wait staff arrived early - told me wanted to insure they were on time.  They were respectful, attentive, polite, professional.
Event: Wait staff were excellent with guests - unobtrusive but attentive, respectful, polite; followed instructions impeccably.  Put things away, cleaned appropriately.
Without a doubt and without reservation, I would hire wait staff from Michael's Event Service again; I recommend them very, very highly.

We had butler service for 2 hours with wonder appetizers such as bacon wrapped shrimp, beef wellington, crab cakes, etc.  We also had trays of food such as mac and cheese, shrimp cocktail tray, and many more.  The food was excellent and the servers were very nice and came around constantly with new appetizers.  Everyone at the party loved this.  It allowed for my guests to mingle and not worry about sitting down and making a plate.  It was the perfect party environment. 

Michael was very responsive to all my inquiries and provided exactly what he said he would do. His staff who catered the party were friendly, prompt and professional. The food was great and received rave reviews. All went very smoothly. I would definitely recommend Michael's Event Catering to others and will use him again in the future for other parties.

Michael and his team were unbelievable from the word "Hello".  Michael answers his phone within seconds and is quick to forward you a quote via e-mail within minutes.

We had a few special requests which were handled with ease and by the day of the event, he and his crew were timely with set-up, very neat and clean, extremely professional and delivered a fantastically delicious display of hot and cold, as well as butler-passed  Hors d'Oeuvres!  Our guests were very impressed and thoroughly enjoyed the event.  Not once during the party did I need to consult with Michael on anything and the two and a half hour event flew by far too quickly!

If you are considering a bar, I highly recommend that you rent his own with lighting on the front.  It's well worth it!

PERFECT as ALWAYS! The very best caterer we ever dealt with. They did a super job for Christmas, and now Easter too. We had many people over. They were all thrilled AGAIN!

Michael was very professional. He was prompt and always available to answer any of my questions. He did a beautiful set up, the food was good and he left my kitchen clean! Will definitely use him again.

Michaels Event catering did an absolutely amazing job.  The food was great, the price was very competitive.  They arrived exactly on time and were able to start serving food as soon as the guests walked in.  The presentation was excellent as well; the serving area was decorated with eye-catching but tasteful decorations and ornaments.  Michael was extremely flexible and his staff were professional, courteous and helpful the whole way.

Provided ALL the exact food that we asked for. The food was exceptionally great! Set up the kitchen beautifully! Called to verify several times so we would not be nervous. They were extremely helpful with recommendations. Excellent prices. Unusually kind, honest, and friendly. I will ALWAYS hire them! They are the best I have ever dealt with. I recommend them to everyone I know.
