His work is exquisite - this is all made by a "real person" using real wood - the details in each piece are amazing. We went over the plans as to what I needed, what I was using each item for, and between my needs and Dave's expertise, we came up with a perfect solution - beautiful and practical. Dave also discussed several items I didn't think about - the unit in my dining room has a shelf to put food on, if I wanted to place some items in that area for serving. I hadn't even thought about that. The vanity for my powder room has a pull out shelf on the bottom, and an extra shelf in the middle, and was built around the existing plumbing in the room. Dave came up with a beautiful design for the shelf in the powder room - I just knew I wanted to have a rod at the bottom to hang towels. Dave made "stain samples" up prior to staining these units - the one in the powder room needed a "weird" stain to match my ideas - Dave did not complain (or charge extra money) for re-doing these samples - now that I have it, it's perfect! Dave made it clear from the beginning that this is handcrafted and it takes time. This is not off the shelf - it has to be built, measured precisely, etc. It took about 3 months from discussing this to finalizing ideas, to having the pieces. This is genuinely a unique, one of a kind item made for my home, made to my tastes, and is well worth the wait - it takes time for an artist to do his work, and Dave is truly an artist who clearly takes pride in what he does.
