Bob Drayton Septic Service / Mr.Bob's Portable Toi

I wish there were more starts I could fill in. 10 plus stars!! I used Bob Drayton for Septic Pumping in the past, but today (a Friday at 2pm) I called with a request for an emergency septic pumping after I called a bunch of other companies that said no way before I even finished my question. I only called the other companies because they came up first on my google search. Bob Drayton Services was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! The woman I spoke with on the phone was very polite and extremely helpful. Not only did they come out for emergency service, even though they said they didn't have any more emergency appointments, but they were at my home within 30 minutes. The professional that pumped my septic educated me and my son (I am recently divorced and didn't know much) on how to care for septic and clean the filter. He also looked at my 5 year old septic field as I had some concerns about it and gave me resources to assist with that. He explained why I was having an issue with my septic and what to do about the issue (easy very cheap fix). He was also extremely friendly, professional, and not condescending at all to this not so knowledgeable homeowner. Also, the price was extremely fair! I will never use another company for any of my septic needs again. I am a customer FOR LIFE Bob Drayton Septic- and I will surely tell all of my friends and family how awesome this company and the professionals that work there are!

The Serviceman had a very difficult time locating the access to the stystem, which is under about 8-12 inches of soil. That hasn't been a problem in the past. After several attempts, he called in a supervisor, who arrived within 10 minutes-helped find the access, and everything was completed smoothly.

My review is late but I did not want forget the work that was performed.  Originally, my septic pump went bad.  I happened to call Bob Drayton Septic Service and left a message but never got a call back. So I called a company that was currently advertising locally but was from well north of my location in desperation as my tank alarm went off because it was full.  The other company came out and pumped me out and then proceeded to replace the pump.  All went well till a month later when the pump stopped working and again the septic tank was full.  I called them back and their technician told me that the float was bad.  They replaced the float and reconnected the wires.  A month later the alarm went off again, this time I was told the wiring was bad.  Mind you it cost me about $200-300 every time they came out.  A month later, walking by the septic system  i heard a growling noise so opened the lid and saw that the pump was continuously running... Out of desperation, I called Bob Drayton's Septic Service again and they called me right back and sent out a technician.  Of course, I questioned the young man his knowledge and stated the situation.  He referenced several of my neighbors and the history of the septic systems in the area and how they were built. They are of course a little different than others I've had come across,too.  But,  I have been inside septic systems before so he was correct in all details. Matter of fact the other company's personnel were puzzled on the design of the systems.
So in the end he fixed my septic problem the first time and I had no problem since.  He was very professional and knowledgeable and did apologize for the previous no call back.  I definitely recommend Bob Drayton if you live in Southampton, NJ.

There's not much to say about a septic tank being emptied, other than I was happy with the employees and the results!

needed to have the septic tank emptied and inspected. Truck arrived from Bob Drayton Septic Service. He did'nt pull into driveway,because he saw a new shiny car there and was afraid the truck was too big. Very thoughtful ! Parked on street, hose was plenty long enough to reach the tank in yard. He advised us we should cut down a small tree planted too close to septic lines and tank, to avoid future trouble with roots.

I'm new to septic/cesspool systems. Called them the night before and explained I heard noises from my drains in the bathroom. They came right out next morning and explained everything to me from soup to nuts. The technician answered all my and quot;newbieand quot; questions without hesitation. I would definitely recommend this company. Awesome technicians.

Excellent referal

After having our sewage ejector pump repaired over Memorial Day Weekend (see my previous review), it worked fine for about 2 months, when once again, sewage was overflowing from the holding tank. At least this time it was during the business week, but I still anticipated having to pay the $1200 + labor for a new pump. I was fortunate enough to have the same serviceman come out, so he was familiar with the pump. This had him baffled for a while - the pump appeared to be working but not getting the job done. To make a long story short, it turned out there was a clog under the street (past the clean out) in the line out to the main. After a second serviceman suctioned out the line from down the street, and the pump was adjusted, things were back to normal. I was given a big break on the fee this time after paying weekend rates the previous call - even though they spent 2-3 hours working, it was only $150 plus tax. I would definitely use them again, though hopefully not for quite a while!

"Mr. Bob" made suggestions over the phone to get the pump running again. When that failed, they were very clear that a weekend call-out would be expensive, and if they pumped the holding tank now, they'd need to do it again on Monday to change the pump. Another choice was to have someone come out and see if they could get the pump running without emptying the tank. Again we were told weekend rates would apply (well over $300). We opted for this, especially as our type of pump costs about $1200. The repairman arrived within the sated time, was pleasant and professional, and tried but could not get things running. We had him call in a pump truck. This serviceman was actually the person who took the original call. He was also pleasant and professional. After emptying the tank, the repairman tried making adjustments to the pump, and it actually started working again. The total amount came to $700, but that was far cheaper than a new pump, and most importantly, there was no more overflowing sewage. I would certainly use this company again.

It went fine. I will use them in the future
