The challenge started when he showed up and said "we are here to work" and he was standing there by himself. He said he had a helper coming, and when the helper, Andy, showed up, Al left to go look at another job and was supposed to be back shortly. Al didn't show up until Andy had been gone for an hour and a half. When the job was done, I noticed that one of my outlets was completely drywalled over, Andy had covered it. Andy was working very roughly, with the drywall, pulling out wires, punching the drywall into the insulation, and then told me the insualtion was put in wrong. I asked him to be careful putting in the dry wall because I wanted the insulation to stay like it was. He was actually working rough enough that I thought the studs were going to break. I told Al that I wanted the drywall screwed in, so I could easily remove it in the future if I needed to. Andy also didnt have the proper tools, and was rather than cutting all the way through the drywall, he was scoring it and then tearing it apart, there were several jagged lines. Some of the drywall that was used was inadequately sized for the walls, some was a half inch off the ground, and in some places it's an inch and a half higher than the floor. Al told me that he would fix everything, has extended some pieces, done some spackling and taping, but there were still some areas that were not smooth. He said he would come back and smooth those areas, and that when I painted, it would be smooth, but it is not. One of the pieces of drywall under the powder room window wasn't even fashioned to the wall, I had to do it, and I noticed that the pieces that were fashioned to the wall were done so with nails, and not screws.
Description of Work: I hired Al's to reinstall drywall in a powder room and entry foyer.
