Everything that could gone wrong has, and it just keeps getting worse. Overcharged for services I did not order, being forced to pay for equipment I did not need, and then equipment not being shipped on time. It takes an hour and at least three reps to actually help. My bill is outrageous and they even send emails to me addressed to other people.

A car struck a telephone pole on my street over the Thanksgiving Weekend. Optimum, Rockland Electric were there the day it was hit, replaced the pole and got their wires back up on the pole. Verizon took three days to get around to picking their cable up off of the ground and we had no TV, internet and phone for the entire time. Once they did put the cable up they never checked to see if the people without service id have it. Took another call and another day for them to come out and replace a part that was damaged by the downed wire.

Verizon is very expensive for me. But I've got two landlines coming in, one of which is a dedicated fax line for my home office. The cable is their top of the line cable. In terms of internet, most people are 50/50 for upload and download speeds. I'm 300/300. We pay a bundle for that. That almost makes up half of the cost of the services that I'm receiving. That's what makes my bill as expensive as it is. But for the services I receive, they are spot on in terms of reliability, overall service and customer service. I like their professionalism, reliability, customer service and quality of services. I can't remember when I didn’t use Verizon. I've been using them since 2000 or probably earlier than that. With regard to price, they are expensive, but we get what we pay for. I would absolutely use them again in the future.

They arrived on time, which is good because a FiOS installation takes about 8 hours. They were missing one item I had ordered specially but were able to have it delivered during the day. The quality of the workmanship was much better than I expected, with careful attention to routing of cables and placement of the three large items that comprise a domestic FiOS installation. I asked them to install all the equipment in a closet and they made sure that nothing got in the way of my everyday use of the space. At the end of the day, everything worked except the telephone interface with the building intercom system. They sent another technician the next day, who had more experience with intercoms, and he got it sorted out in a couple of hours. I'm very happy with the way everything works -- excellent TV picture, fast and reliable Internet, and a fully-featured phone service. Update 1. After 18 months, the set-top box and router failed suddenly and simultaneously. After speaking with customer support, I elected to replace the defective units myself. The replacement units were waiting for me at my local Verizon store when I arrived and I had the system back up and running the same day. Update 2. After the initial two-year price guarantee period expired, I was able to negotiate a $30 per month reduction in return for signing a two-year contract. Couldn't be happier.

It went very smoothly. Provider suggested various specials (freebies, etc.) that we took advantage of, and we were able to adjust our TV channels to maximize viewing and lower our cost. I'd still like it to be cheaper, though. Note: Price includes TV, Internet and phone for the month.

Verizon Fios is wonderful. They were, during Hurricane Sandy we never lost cable power. They were tremendous. People around us who had Comcast or Optimum or other varieties of TV providers, they lost power and Verizon Fios did not. We did not use a single minute of power during Hurricane Sandy, it was amazing. With the internet in never freezes and is very fast. We never have trouble with our cell phone. We never lose signal. They are phenomenal. I would recommend them to everybody. Their customer service is very easy to get through on. You might have to wait maybe five minutes or so, but you do get a person.
