They never told me that they would charge me a restocking fee and a pickup fee and basically rip me off to use their tank when I could have gone and got a tank from any gas station and hooked it up and not got ripped off for 180.00

I dislike their service. They let me run out of gas multiple times. Their call system would forward me to a central location on the other side of the country that had no ability to service my account and I was told that they would leave messages for the area manager. I was told that I was running out of gas because they were shorthanded on truck drivers and that happened for a whole winter season, so it wasn't a single instance. They let my business go cold three times that year. They were very unhelpful in resolving the issue. I switched to someone else who brought me emergency service with their tank. They put their tanks in place and did the installation during a snow storm. Months later after telling Suburban that I was done using them and to come get their tanks, which they didn't do and left on my property, they tried to charge me for the tanks although I had given them a written notice that I was no longer using them. It was a whole process just to discontinue using them and even with the disconnection notice I had to call Arizona to talk about things in New Jersey that never got communicated clearly enough.

At first, service was good and price was competitive.  The longer I became a customer the more they raised prices.  My last fill up of propane cost me $4.99 per gallon in 2011.  I found out that this was twice the price of any other competior at the time.  When I decided to stop using their service and finish the gas in my tanks, they told me they would charge an INACTIVITY FEE of $100.  I told them to remove the tanks and credit for any unused gas.  It took them 3 months before they showed up to pick up the tanks and credit my account of which they DEUCTED their INACTIVITY FEE.  In addition, they were also charging rent on these tanks.  I would never do business with them again as I do not find them ethical.
