Starr Pools

The owner of the company totally unresponsive and obnoxious. He quoted us one week service, so we spent two days picking a pattern for the liner. He called a week later to say that the company doesn't have material in stock and it was going to be another week. That was June 14th and we have only been able to get into the pool 3 weeks ago. The stuff that they promised us that they were going to do, we had to hire somebody else. I made 27 phone calls/e-mails without getting a response. Starting from the 3rd of July until August. We had given him a $2500 deposit on the $8000 job, and we only got a callback from him when he finally got the liner in. They jackhammered and replaced a large section of concrete that would slope into the pool, I okayed that. But when they were finished is was worse than before and they would not correct it. The only time we heard from him was when he was out of money and he needed payment. When they finished up on the final day, the men were out on the driveway drinking beer instead of working.

I've been using Starr Pools for years, and they work on most of the pools in my neighborhood. They go above and beyond for pool opening and closings. When I get the pool opened, they powerwash the cover first before removing it. They clean around the pool, all the dirt and leaves that accumulate. They clean out each and every leaf in the pool, using their own portable pump and vacuum. Their workers are very knowledgeable and friendly. The owner has been working on pools for a long time. For closings, they drain the pool themselves, I've had other service companies who require me to do a bunch of pre-work prior to a closing or opening. Starr pools comes and takes care of everything - does a professional job every time.
