Python Drain Cleaning

I had a slow drain on my shower. Called several times to remind them to come. Guy finally came, snaked it for 10 minutes and it cleared. No emergency, came during work hours. Charged me $300 IN CASH! My mind is blown. Worst rip-off I have ever experienced. Buyer beware!

The service (it was a weekend) was efficient. The plumber arrived in a timely manner. Pipes were cleaned pretty quickly, though it was never established what exactly caused the clog.

After making our initial appointment, what followed was three days of lies, wasted time, and broken promises. On Day 1, the crew showed up 5 hours late and did not bring the right equipment to diagnose the problem. We made an appointment for the next day for 10 a.m. and the crew was to bring the proper equipment to finish the job. After my husband also got a second estimate from another company, we spoke to one of Python's managers who pledged that his service would be more transparent than the competition, and that he wouldn't pressure us to make unnecessary replacements. We decided to stick with Python. On Day 2, the crew showed up 2 hours late and while they finally diagnosed the problem as a clog in the pipeline, surprise surprise - they did not have the right equipment to actually fix the problem. They promised that we would be the first appointment on the following day. Then they had the nerve to ask for full payment - before any actual service had been rendered. Meanwhile, we're left pumping toxic sewage into buckets and coolers just to handle the wastewater. On Day 3 - the day we were to be the very first appointment at 9 a.m. - the crew showed up 5 hours late again (at 2 p.m.) and only after we called and threatened to cancel payment. So in summary: the Python crew took three days to fix a toxic sewage situation that should have been resolved on the first day, and every single day they failed to keep their appointment by HOURS (a total of 12 wasted hours). Note that we spoke to a Python manager on Day 1 who had every chance to tell us if his crews were overbooked that week - and yet he actually persuaded us to use his service instead of a competitor. Python does not honor appointments and will lie to your face about availability. We will never use this company again.

Overpriced. Other providers provide similar levels of service at lower prices. At the price they charge there is little room for slip ups in service. The first time they came over, the blade on the 'snake' didnt work. They went ahead nevertheless - I felt like I paid a lot for ordinary levels of service. They responded quickly though. The second time, the response was tardy. They showed up and charged me for a mere examination of the problem without resolving anything. I'm still calling them about it to sort things out.

It went excellent, and the best possible outcome surfaced from this visit.  Sal was super professional, as was the young lady who called us to confirm our appointment today.  We would definitely use Python again in the future.

This is my second time using this company The first time went well so I called them again. They gave me a good short arrival time and showed up within the window. However the technician looked about 18 years old.  I showed him the sink and he got his equipment and went upstairs. He called for me and told me the trap was broken. It was not leaking before he was there so I think he broke it. I told him to remove it as I was going to have to replace it anyway. He did. He pulled out a snake whose tip had broken off. There was no auger just the 1/4 inch base. He snaked it and told me he went 9 feet but could not get it. I told him that was impossible as the distance between the apartment drain and where it tees in with the main drain was not 9 feet and the main was running clear. He looked at me. Annoyed I told him to write  a bill and sent him on his way. The next day I used a hand auger and cleared the drain of a huge clump of hair. My problem and his problem was that we were going up and hot down. I do not get paid to know that. He does. I will not use this business again

It went well. They were responsive and professional and fixed a drain that had been slowly clogging over a 15 year period and had never been cleared. I gave price a B b/c I did not have time to get multiple prices and I do not know whether the price is good or bad. I did not mind paying it for this problem.

It went very well. Dimitrio is young but he was very knowledgeable, very professional and courteous and pleasant to talk to. I was impressed with his thoroughness of checking the basement before putting the hose in the drain. We talked about the problem I've had of water coming into my basement near the drain when there's a flash flood storm, and only then. After he ran the hose into the drain, he concluded that the problem is probably related to heavy rain putting so much pressure on the old clay pipes in this brownstone and that I shouldn't have a problem. And to call when the flooding occurs so they can check it.
The quoted cost was $325, with a $50 discount, still pretty hefty, but when he concluded he didn't need to snake the line, he charged me the basic house call of $125 (deducting Angie's Senior discount offer of 10%).

They came out the same day and solved the problem. The job was satisfactory.

Excellent service. Tech was courteous and very conscientious about keeping the job site clean.

First of all - when you call these folks - you get a live person on the phone.  I called the day after Christmas expecting to get an answering machine but the woman on the phone was very helpful and took all of the relevant info.  She promised to call
back shortly and she did exactly that with a promise that they could have someone at the house between 8-10 the next morning.
The technician arrived exactly on-time as promised and was courteous and friendly.  He assessed the situation quickly, quoted me the price, got my approval up-front, and went straight to the task.  He was very careful to keep a potentially messy job clean and neat.  Twenty minutes later, the problem was fixed and he was on his way.
I was very impressed and very happy with the service.  Highly recommended!

Sal and his partner arrived promptly at 7am as promised. They were couteous and professional and took all necessary steps in order not to create any mess. The drain is virtually grease free now and runs perfectly. I would highly recommendtheir service.
