I initially made contact with this dealer through the Costco Auto Buying Program. They responded quickly after the inquiry and the sales person was friendly when I arrived at the dealer. After seeing the vehicle in person I decided to upgrade to the next model and the sales person entered my request through the Costco Program again. I was given a quote, but did not realize until I picked up the car that it was missing a few of the extras I had requested with the previous model. I will take some of the blame for this mistake as I should have read the contract more carefully before signing. The dealer had to locate the vehicle I wanted out of state and have it transported to NJ. They called multiple times saying the car was ready to come pick it up. I advised them I would not be available until saturday which was June 1, 2013 and I would come after work and take delivery of it. The sales person called 3 times after that asking me to pick the car up before the the first of the month so they could get it off the books. I advised them that I could not be there before the 1st. When I arrived on the first they had post dated all the documents to May 31st and the vehicle had an inspection sticker on it dated to expire in May instead of June. At the time I felt it was not worth arguing over and just accepted delivery even though they had cheated me out of a month for the inspection date which should have been June 30th instead of May 31st. When I picked up my plates the sales man did not give me the title to the vehicle or mention the title. Foolishly I had assumed it was mailed to the financial institution that issued the loan on the vehicle. This week I received notification from the bank that they had not received the title. I called the dealership, the salesperson did not answer or call me back, he did how ever mail the title to my home. When i opened it, the title has my name on it and no mention of the lien holder being the bank. This was after a conversation with the finance officer and the salesman that the car was being financed through a bank other then the offer from Subaru. I now have to go to the Division of Motor Vehicle and pay 85 dollars to have the title changed and then delivery it to the bank. This should have been done by the DEALER!!! I will NOT being returning to the dealer for any services and will NOT purchase another vehicle from them. In my opinion they are just out for a quick sale and don't care what tactics they have to use to make their numbers and once they get the money from you their service stops!
